Love Island’s Molly Marsh and Zachariah Noble have split, and the reason why is very relatable

Molly Marsh and Zachariah Noble, who starred in season 10 of Love Island, have split up after two years together, and the reason might be incredibly relatable for anyone familiar with the woes of modern dating.

Though they had weathered their fair share of storms in their relationship, most people genuinely thought that Molly and Zachariah were in it for the long haul. As it turns out, and following some speculation from followers, the Love Island couple have gone their separate ways.

“I just want to confirm the rumours. Myself and Zac have split up and are no longer together,” Molly wrote on her Instagram story in a very sombre post. “We have parted ways as friends, and thank you all for your love and support of our relationship over the past 2 years.”

Zachariah is yet to post about the public breakup, with his last posts being about working out and his dogs. As for the reason behind the split, sources close to the former couple have said it was a “mutual decision” because they are better as friends.

“Nothing bad has happened between Zac and Molly. They just made the decision to split on a mutual basis,” a source told The Sun.

“The pair have no bad blood between them and will continue to be friends. Sometimes relationships work, and sometimes they don’t, but they want to continue to be friends and cherish the couple of years they have spent together and are both grateful for Love Island bringing them into each other’s lives.”

People have been reacting to the split on Reddit, as one person wrote: “I remember earlier this year I was scrolling tiktok and saw some Molly post, and there were comments about them breaking up since she was living at her parents’ house. I was happy to see their video here and thought it must have been a rumour. But I guess they probably had difficulties and tried again, and it just didn’t work out.”

“Well, shit. That’s sad. They seemed to be one of the stronger couples,” another wrote, as a third added, “RIP S10, but they lasted wayyyyy longer than I thought they would, so kudos. I’m still surprised she took him back after that ‘girls wearing nothing’ rant he went on when they were broken up the first time.”

Even messy Mitch, who was involved in a love triangle with the former couple, posted a reaction GIF on Instagram.

This is obviously not the first time they have split up, so maybe a rekindling isn’t off the table?
