PinkPantheress just revealed why she’s banned for life from this major supermarket

She claims to not be allowed in any of its UK locations

One thing I love about PinkPantheress is that we can barely go a day without a PinkPantheress anecdote that changes the trajectory of our lives forever. She’s been a quirky gal for as long as she’s been releasing music, but what’s been so great over the past year is how she’s shedded the mystique for being a true British maverick – with bizarre knowledge and life updates hitting the social timeline faster than the speed of light. Whether she’s correctly naming very specific bugs on TikTok or going viral for winning an under 25s chess tournament and revealing how chess runs in her blood because of her successful auntie, you never know what you’re getting with Victoria Beverley Walker. And yet, it all still makes sense in the PinkPantheress universe. The latest lore drop is the reveal that PinkPantheress is now claiming that she is totally banned from Sainsbury’s. Every supermarket branch of Sainsbury’s in the UK, in fact. And she’s just told the anecdote of why…

‘What is legal behaviour that feels illegal’

You’d have to be living under a rock to not be witnessing the meteoric rise of Illegal by PinkPantheress, the first track on her Fancy That mixtape that’s going mega viral and climbing the charts at the same time.

In an interview with GQ, PinkPantheress was asked “what is some legal behaviour that feels illegal?” I think Vicky misunderstood the question, because she sort of just listed a crime. But still.

Pink said “My friend stole a Drumstick from Sainsbury’s, but that actually is illegal. But I remember thinking to myself like – and we got banned – and we really went through it. I got banned, but I didn’t steal anything. I remember thinking like given our age at the time, one Drumstick resulting in a ban, it’s a bit much. Because we were banned from all Sainsbury’s across the country.”

Well, does the ban still stand? The Tab reached out to Sainsbury’s for comment to confirm whether PinkPantheress is still banned from all the locations in the country. A representative for Sainsbury’s confirmed to me that the supermarket cannot verify the claim that PinkPantheress is banned. So, Vicky, if you’re reading this – just try your luck, hun.
