People have been coming forward to share times when they met the MAFS Australia 2025 cast members in real life, and honestly, it’s very telling. You might have thought we saw them a lot during the experiment, but hearing about them in the wild really tells more about their personalities.

Some people have lived with cast members in the past, or just had brief encounters with them out and about, or at work. Either way, they have some stories to tell. So, here’s what people who have met the cast of MAFS Australia 2025 in real life had to say about them.

Paul is ‘not a very approachable guy’

The vibes Paul gave off during the experiment seemed to vary. Towards the end, it felt as though he thought quite highly of himself, when he did a 180 on Carina, and at the reunion suddenly tried to say she was at fault. Sources have claimed the same, too.

“He was dressed like he was the prince of Perth with his little posse. Honestly, his vibe didn’t seem like an approachable guy,” someone said of a run-in they had with him. All a bit ironic really, when he called out Carina for being a “snob”.

Jamie ‘loves the tea’ and is just as loud outside of MAFS

A few people who have met Jamie outside of MAFS have shared what she’s really like. They shared their experiences with So Dramatic!. One person said they knew someone who used to work with Jamie, and claimed she’s just as loud in person as she was on-screen.

“My friend used to work with Jamie about five years ago, and she said she is nuts and really intense. Just like she is on-screen, possibly even worse, and they toned her down a bit,” they said. “She is full-on 24-7.”

Another added: “I used to work with Jamie in a small company. She loves the tea. She’s very loud and will for sure bring the drama this season as she shared her thoughts openly and proudly.”

A former flatmate of Jacqui’s shared what she’s like to live with

Whilst the show was airing, someone who used to live with Jacqui spilled all about their experience. “She was my flatmate for a couple of years. She’s exactly as she appears on screen,” they told Chattr.

“Her moods did change like that and the stuff she said was so perplexing. She never accepted fault for anything, always felt ‘sorry’ for us and offered unsolicited advice for how we could ‘be better’ at our jobs or in our relationships. If we ever stood up for ourselves she suddenly became the victim.”

Ryan is ‘nice but weird’

Someone has claimed to have met Jacqui’s former groom, too. Also speaking to Chattr, a source said: “Ryan from this season goes to the same gym as my husband and they’ve had some small interactions.”

They went on: “He said he’s nice generally, but also as weird as he seems on the show. He watched my husband pull his motorbike into a parking space and f*ck up the angle, and when my husband had finished and turned the bike off, Ryan said, ‘Man it’s all just geometry!’ [and] laughed and then walked off haha.”
