Tom Cruise has been spotted filming opposite King’s College London’s Waterloo Campus.

The Hollywood star was pictured standing at the top of the BFI IMAX in a black suit during a promotional stunt for his upcoming Mission Impossible film, which is the eighth movie and supposedly final film in the franchise.

Tom is of course no stranger to scaling buildings having previously scaled the Burj Khalifa in Dubai for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

The actor spent the day in London celebrating his BFI Fellowship, which has honoured his diverse acting career and contribution to the UK film industry. Previous honourees have included Ridley Scott and Christopher Nolan.

Tom celebrated this prestigious honour with an in person talk at the BFI, where he provided an insight into his acting and producing career.

One KCL student took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their shock at seeing the star standing on top of the BFI IMAX, which is currently wrapped in an advert for Cruise’s film. The student said: “Looked out the window on my uni study break why is Tom Cruise on top of the BFI.”

In the comments, the student explained how they went to open the window and could hear people screaming “Tom”, after which they looked up and saw the Mission Impossible star.

Another video posted to X showed how the actor was waving to passers-by as they stood and watched him in awe.

The video has since received two million views.
