This strict Celebrity Big Brother rule means the cast might not get their full paycheck?!
The money isn’t guaranteed
The Celebrity Big Brother 2025 cast’s pay has been revealed, but there’s a strict rule in place that means they might not get the full amount.
After Mickey Rourke was taken out of the house, a source told The Sun: “If a celebrity gets removed from the house, they don’t get the full fee. It’s as simple as that.”
The rule says that if a celebrity is removed, they don’t get the full paycheck, but this doesn’t apply if the cast member is evicted, even if they are the first one out.
Mickey is reportedly set to receive just £50,000 of his £500,000 fee because he was only in there for six days in total, which is only a tiny 10%.
“He’s lost a huge amount by leaving the show early. It was worked out on a pro rata basis. Conversations are ongoing so the fee may change but a contract is a contract,” the source added.

However, it seems as though the amount the celebrities get paid dramatically increases after they’ve been in the house for seven days, even if they are kicked out over behavioural issues.
Mickey’s team has accused the show of “deliberately” removing him “just one day before he would become contractually eligible to receive a lot more money,” TMZ reported.
The actor’s representative Kimberly Hines claimed his team is “weighing a lawsuit against ITV, the company that produces the show”.
He believes he is entitled to the full fee and called his small paycheck “unjust”. However, rules are rules, and it sounds like it was in the contract he signed.

Sources told TMZ Mickey only did the show because he’s in serious financial trouble and needed the half a million pound paycheck to pay off some debts.
If any of the other housemates are removed, their paycheck will get a big cut too.
