It’s official: Nominations are OPEN for The Lancaster Tab’s BNOC 2025

Attention, Lancaster students everywhere, the most iconic time of the year has arrived – it’s bigger than Roses, better than any Extrav, and even more exciting than an empty Greggs queue…it’s time to nominate your campus BNOC for the 2024/25 year.

For anyone who has the incredible misfortune of not having experienced BNOC season before, it’s really as easy as Lancaster beating York in Roses 2025.

BNOC stands for Big Name On Campus, and is decided by Lancaster students themselves. You can nominate your housemates, your enemies, your library crush, the limits are endless!

Being named BNOC is basically bigger than receiving a knighthood, or getting to queue-jump at Sugar, so please, take it as seriously as we do. Only true icons are nominated, and then Lancaster students everywhere will descend on voting season to vote for the nominated students with the biggest BNOC aura.

Put down your textbooks, close those spreadsheets and temporarily abandon your dissertation, because the deadline for nominations is Wednesday 16th April. All nominated candidates will be contacted on Instagram by our lovely editorial team so make sure to check your message requests if you want to be in with a chance to win.
