Lily Phillips gives shock Newsnight interview to defend herself and all her viral challenges
She said completing events like she does is ‘very normal’
Lily Phillips has appeared on BBC’s Newsnight alongside Victoria Derbyshire, to defend herself and the viral “challenges” she’s been posting about recently. Lily has become basically a household name in recent months, posting videos from her “100 guys in a day” stunt, and more recently her “backdoor” challenge.
The events have made her millions, and speaking to Victoria Derbyshire she said she genuinely enjoys her job, and does it for the love of it, more than the money. She spoke about public opinion of her, and the porn industry in general.
The synopsis for the interview states: “Newsnight interviews Lily Phillips, described as one of the most controversial women in the UK. As an online pornography creator, she had sex with 101 men in a day. A YouTube film about her and that day has been viewed 10 million times.
“The issue of young people accessing online pornography via smartphones is one that politicians and parents around the world are grappling with. Now in an interview with Victoria Derbyshire, Lily Phillips reveals that she first watched pornography as an 11 year old – and says it may be linked to how she now earns her living.”
Lily opened up more about the types of men who show up for her events, and Victoria Derbyshire quizzed Lily about if she’d ever felt “disrespected”.

“A lot of them were very regular guys,” Lily said. “We have lawyers, we had police, people flying from Sweden, Eurostar from France, a couple from America. They were just bang average guys.” Speaking about if she felt respected, Lily added: “I think a lot of them did. Not necessarily all of them. I think some of them disrespected my choice to have a time limit on our sex, and that was when I thought you’re not respecting this.”

Lily said she views the men who show up to sleep with her as “equal” to her, and men who “just want to have a good time”. She said that “as long as they’re not there cheating on their partners” it’s up to them to choose to take part.
Victoria Derbyshire then asked how Lily would feel if her older brother or father turned up to an event like one she hosts. “If they’re single it’s their own free will to have sex with who they like, more power to them,” Lily responded.
Lily shockingly said she started watching porn aged 11, and thought this was “normal”. She added watching porn from a young age made her “sex confident” and had a “positive effect” on her.
Whilst she agreed that watching “extreme” porn can be damaging for young people, Lily was adamant she learned a lot from what she saw. She called the life she leads now, and the work she does, “very normal” for her.
