Trisha Goddard will be undergoing cancer treatment in the Celebrity Big Brother house

Last night, Trisha Goddard had a very moving and life affirming entrance to the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 house and got a rapturous response from the audience who were present and those watching at home. Trisha Goddard is TV royalty, with most of us growing up having her on the TV and after being very public with her health battles, she is entering the house whilst receiving treatment for her stage four breast cancer. Goddard has shared that this time, her returning cancer is treatable but not curable. In Trisha’s own words, she said it’s “not going away”. With Trisha going into Celebrity Big Brother, she has openly shared how she will be receiving cancer treatment in the house.

Trisha actually shared that she’s been asked to do Celebrity Big Brother in her words “every single year”, but says she’s always turned it down. This year is different though, with Trisha saying about taking more risks in her approach to Celebrity Big Brother that she’s doing the show to prove to everyone “how you can live successfully with cancer and not be so scared of dying that you become scared of living”.

According to Metro, Trisha has aligned with the Celebrity Big Brother production team to sort with ITV that her time in the house and the treatment she needs for her cancer without any disruptions.

Trisha explained: “‘My oncologist is my biggest cheerleader and is working with the Big Brother team. I’ve got a special therapist who’s happy to work with the medic on the show.

“My palliative care team – and when I say that word, everybody screams and runs away, but it’s symptom treatment – is working with the team here too. And then when it comes to my treatment, I had one infusion on Monday, so I’ve got to jump on a plane and go straight back to have the next one as soon as the show is over.

“I’ve got a bag full of meds that I normally have, which will be with me in the house.”

It’s also reported that Trisha will be getting her own bedroom in the house, which considering all she’s going through is completely fair enough – the last thing she needs is the terminally cheerful JoJo Siwa bouncing off the walls. She’ll be staying in the affectionately dubbed Sharon Osbourne Suite – named so online after Shazza’s little stint in the CBB house last year.
