AJ Odudu responds after Mickey Rourke’s ‘uncomfortable’ Celebrity Big Brother behaviour

ITV opened the purse strings in a major way booking major Hollywood actor and Academy Award nominee Mickey Rourke for Celebrity Big Brother 2025. But what they probably didn’t bet on was the fact that Mickey Rourke had zero clue what this show really was, or what he was meant to be doing when he entered the house. Worse still, Mickey Rourke on live TV stared presenter AJ Odudu up and down, said “I’d rather stay out here with you” and didn’t walk into the house like he was supposed to. AJ and fellow host Will Best had to practically boot him through the door, but not before the behaviour of Mickey Rourke towards Odudu on the Celebrity Big Brother launch got immense backlash. AJ Odudu has now responded.

Uncomfortable viewing

As Mickey Rourke staggered outside the car for his entrance, host Will Best had to warn him “Careful, Mickey” as he looked AJ Odudu up and down. AJ then laughed off the moment as he continued making the entrance uncomfortable, eventually telling him “stop looking at me.”

AJ and Will kept trying to usher Mickey Rourke into the house, but he then said “I wanna stay with you.” It was a bit of a car crash, with AJ and Will doing their best to keep proceedings moving on live TV. The crowd’s cheers turned to boos during the whole fiasco.

During the after show for the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 launch, AJ Odudu spoke about the Mickey Rourke situation for the first time. Celebrity panelist Alan Carr said “Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you? Wow his eyes. Find someone who looks at you the way Mickey looks at you. His tongue was hanging out.”

AJ said: “It literally was. I was like, “You can’t afford these feathers Mickey, no!’”

Fans were absolutely livid at the behaviour of Mickey Rourke on Twitter, with one saying “Someone get some security for AJ from Mickey Rourke because what the hell was that?”

Another added: “Mickey Rourke is a weirdo and it was so uncomfortable watching him harass AJ on live TV. I liked how Will Best protected AJ throughout that segment.”
