Glittery fits and chugging beers: Inside Sabrina Carpenter’s chaotic Short ‘n Sweet UK tour
The UK has been spoiled rotten so far
Sabrina Carpenter has a stage presence like no other: She’s the opposite of cool, calm and collected in the best way. After two glittery nights in Dublin, she arrived onto the streets of Birmingham in nothing but a bodysuit and shiny tights. Out of character? Never. Here’s a look inside Sabrina Carpenter’s chaotic Short ‘n Sweet UK tour stunt.
Three new outfits!
If you’re a committed fan and have been watching Sabrina’s tour content on TikTok, you might know she plays a bit of a roulette with what outfit she’ll be wearing on stage. The combinations are never the same, but Birmingham was treated to THREE new outfits. We got a hot pink and black bodysuit, a black lacy baby doll dress and a stunning glitter lilac two piece set. What a way to start her UK leg of the tour!
There’s nothing like a British crowd

Most musicians around the world will tell you that UK crowds have an energy the rest of the world just can’t match, and Thursday night was no exception. The crowd was deafening, especially from the floor, but to my surprise everyone’s singing skills were on point.
As chatty as ever on stage, she asked the crowd if we’d forgive her for accidentally slipping up in her pronunciation and saying Birming-ham like they do in America. She was promptly booed.
That wasn’t the only bit of peer pressure her UK fans put her under, either. After taking one (1) sip of beer, chants of “chug” quickly filled the room. The first time, she told us she “couldn’t drink like us,” but the second time, she wasn’t let off so easily and had to chug her beer. Done like an honorary Brit.

The ABBA references were iconic
@jellyedits10 Sabrina Carpenter playing Mamma Mia in Birmingham tonight ðŸ˜ðŸ’– #shortnsweettour #birmingham #sabrinacarpenter #mammamia
We all know Sabrina is a huge ABBA fan, but the references to ABBA throughout the show were amazing. We firstly got an ABBA-packed pre-show playlist while we were waiting for her to come on stage. As well as that, she sang Mamma Mia as a surprise spin-the-bottle song which had the audience jumping up and down like never before. And we can’t forget this iconic Donna and the Dynamos re-enactment.
The small details were everything
What really made the show stand out from others was its insane attention to detail. Every single thing was perfectly designed for her hardcore fans that would love. We heard a word from her sponsor, which was The Sharpest Tool company, espressos were sprinkled throughout the setlist and the b-roll was filmed in such a fun and clever way. No notes from me at all!
