Mindy Kaling previously spoke out about the rumours BJ Novak is the father of her children

Mindy Kaling was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, and obviously BJ Novak was there because of course he was, and definitely not because he may or may not be the father of her children.

And these two certainly didn’t quell the rumours that there’s something going on between them after both gushed about each other in emotional speeches.

During the event ceremony, Mindy described BJ Novak as an “important and integral part of my family.” She added: “Sometimes I forget that the reason that I know him is because we worked together professionally.”

BJ Novak also spoke fondly of Mindy whilst congratulating her for her achievement, and honoured her for “being a brilliant and wildly successful showrunner,” as well as “an incredible mother of three, a deep and caring daughter and friend and mentor to so many.”

Ever since the two starred in The Office together there has been constant speculation about whether BJ Novak is secretly the father of her children, something that Mindy Kaling has spoken out about.

However, Mindy Kaling has previously spoken about the rumours that BJ Novak is the father of her children during a 2022 interview with Marie Claire.

She explained: “He’s the godparent to both my kids — and they have such a great relationship — and so far [the speculation hasn’t] affected my happiness at all, it hasn’t affected my kids or BJ.

“It doesn’t bother me. If that’s what is going to be titillating to people, I’ll take it.” She added that she won’t discuss how her children were conceived, or who with until they were old enough to be told themselves.
