Love it or hate it, The Office US is one of those series which will just never die. Teenagers will be binge watching it in 10, 15 and even 20 years to come and rightly so – it’s a cult classic. No matter how many times we rewatch it, it still provides all the comfort and humour as if it were the first time watching. That being said, there are still loads of things you might have missed, regardless of how many times you’ve seen the show.
Whether you were distracted by Michael Scott’s dad jokes or too busy trying to work out who started the fire, here’s a rundown of all the editing errors in The Office US.
Phyliss vanishes into thin air during the jelly incident
In the very first episode of the show, most of us were distracted watching the stapler-in-jelly fiasco between Jim and Dwight. During this scene, Phyliss’ seat is initially empty but in one take, she appears and is turning around mid-shot. Then, miraculously, she vanishes again when the next shot shows.
The magic buzzer in Taboo
When Dwight and Erin are playing Taboo in season eight, episode 15, Dwight can be seen holding a buzzer so that the speaker is face down. But after Jim slaps him, the next shot shows the speaker turned over and upside down. It must have been some hard slap, or more likely, a missed detail in filming.
Angela is a fake vegetarian

In true Angela fashion, she loved telling everyone how much better she was because of her aversion to eating meat. Vegetarianism ties in perfect with her insufferable character, and the fact that she’s an insanely crazy cat lover. But in season eight, episode 13, Angela slips up and tells Oscar that her son was conceived because of “too much wine in [her] chicken piccata”.
