TikTok mum kills family in suspected murder-suicide after videos about them ‘struggling’
She was vlogging while her husband was battling brain cancer
A mum, dad, and two children have been found dead in New Hampshire in a suspected murder-suicide after the mum, Emily Long, posted TikTok videos sharing how much the family was “struggling”. Her husband was battling an aggressive brain cancer.
Investigators believe Emily, 34, shot her husband and two children before taking her own life. A third child was also found in the Madbury home unharmed.
“Inside the home, troopers found the bodies of four family members: Emily Long 34, Ryan Long, 48, son Parker Long, 8, and daughter Ryan Long, 6.” A third child, a toddler, was found alive and suffered no physical injuries,” New Hampshire State Police said in a press release.

“Each of the deceased family members appears to have suffered gunshot wounds, and were pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives continue to investigate this event as a potential murder/suicide.”
After autopsy results showed Emily’s gushot wound was self-inflicted, the N.H. Department of Justice said it appears that she “caused their deaths”.
“Based upon the information available at this time, it appears that in the early morning hours of Monday, 18th August, 2025, Ms. Long took a handgun from the home and caused the deaths of Ryan Long and her two children, Parker and Ryan, and then took her own life immediately thereafter.”
Emily was vlogging on TikTok after Ryan was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma. She called herself a “Brain Cancer Wife” and openly spoke about how she was feeling, as well as his symptoms.

She said she could feel herself “withering away” and spoke about her fears of being a single parent, adding: “Where I’m doing all three bedtimes alone, and then I shut the door to the final kid and I’m totally by myself and I have no one to talk about my day with.”
In another clip watched by The Sun, the mum spoke about “trying to get myself out of the rut”. She said: “Our kids are definitely struggling, and now I’m starting to notice some changes in our three-year-old.”
