Well, look no further: You can now experience what all of these major events were like on TikTok through the new POV wake up AI trend, and it’s pretty scary.

What is the TikTok wake up AI trend?

The trend started when people were using AI to create day in the life content from different points in history, from the perspective of all kinds of people. From mythical creatures to peasants in the medieval period, TikTok users have conjured up videos for every situation.

Most of the videos come from an account called @timetravellerpov on TikTok and the scenarios are endless. One of the most popular videos is titled POV: You Wake Up In 1351 During The Black Plague, which has over 18 million views.

In the video, you are taken through a day in the life of a peasant living through the plague, and it shows a gruesome and historically inaccurate tale of someone’s supposed day from that time. A lot of the comments are in sympathy, saying “this was someone’s life,” but people have since used that as a bit of a joke to diss how inaccurate everything actually is.
