Montoya claps back at claims he was being too ‘theatrical’ for cameras on Temptation Island

I think we’ve all seen that mega viral clip of Montoya from Temptation Island falling to his knees in anguish before sorting across the beach to confront his cheating girlfriend. And if you haven’t here’s everything you need to know in the context of what exactly is going on in that clip.

As for his reaction, I think it’s fair to say Montoya gave an award winning Oscar level performance on Temptation Island, and you know what I don’t blame him.

But since the clip went viral, Montoya has clapped back at claims he was acting overly “theatrical” for the cameras.

The host of Temptation Island, Sandra Barneda, called out Montoya for his behaviour and claimed that she doubted he was actually being authentic with his reaction.

Translated from Spanish, she chastised him, saying: “I’ve seen your journey, I’ve seen you’ve been in other places, on other shows, and I’ve seen a lot of Montoyas. I don’t know which Montoya is here anymore.”

But Montoya wasn’t having any of it and quickly clapped back with a pretty savage rebuttal.

He responded: “Montoya goes where he shines, that’s what bothers you. I’ve earned things because I’ve been in love with my partner from minute one.”

And it seems he’s still in love with his partner despite everything they’ve been putting each other through on the show, as apparently they’re still together even now?!

According to a Spanish source, Anita and Montoya are somehow still together after Temptation Island but have a “toxic relationship” and “continuous arguments.”

The translated source claims: “Today, at this moment, Montoya and Anita are together. The couple, since leaving the island, have had several encounters and several disagreements.
