Breaking Bad to Marvel hero: The new voices you should know in the Invincible season three cast

Just when you thought the show couldn’t get better, they add these giants

Invincible is back for more gory fun in season three, and thanks to its stunning established cast and some brand new faces, it’s only a matter of time before seasons four, five, and so on get greenlit.

After two hugely successful seasons of the adult animation, both of which received 100 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, Mark is attempting the right the wrongs of his psychopath father Omni-Man. This time, he will have to contend with even more villains and the ever-watchful eye of Cecil who is expected to step into the antagonist role as he attempts to protect Earth from superpowered individuals and the incoming Viltrumite empire.

Steven Yeun is back to voice Mark Grayson, Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man, Gillian Jacobs as Samantha Eve Wilkins/Atom Eve, and Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman. There are, of course, a whole host of other actors ranging from Ben Schwartz to Mark Hamill and Seth Rogen.

When it comes to new faces, these are the people you should watch out for in the Invincible season three cast.

1. Aaron Paul as Powerplex

Arron paul

Powerplex is a new villain set to appear in Invincible season three with electrokinesis powers and is said to be on a vendetta against Mark after the destruction caused by his father Omni-Man.

Aaron Paul joined the Invincible season three cast after hugely successful stints in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, BoJack Horseman, and El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.

2. Kate Mara as Becky Duvall

Kate Mara

Kate Mara has joined the season three cast as Becky Duvall, Powerplex’s wife who is supporting her husband’s quest for vengeance. It doesn’t look like she has any superpowers.

Kate has been working in the industry since 1999’s Joe the King but her most popular roles include Brokeback Mountain, Fantastic Four, American Horror Story, and Black Mirror.

3. Simu Liu as Multi-Paul

Simu Liu

One superhero franchise is clearly not enough for Simu Liu as despite featuring in the MCU as Shang Chi, he’s joined the Invincible season three cast as Multi-Paul. He’s able to duplicate himself over and over again much like his sister Dupli-Kate.

Outside of Marvel, Simu is known for starring roles in Kim’s Convenience, Atlas, Barbie, and Arthur the King.

4. Tzi Ma as Mr. Liu

Tzi Ma is a veteran actor with dozens of projects under his belt. On the TV side of things, you might recognise him from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Once Upon a Time, The Resident, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, and even American Dad. He’s also banked a solid amount of movies, appearing in the Rush Hour franchise, Skyscraper, Arrival, and The Campaign.

As part of the Invincible season three cast, Tzi Ma is playing Mr. Liu, a member of the supervillain team The Order who possesses an ancient dragon soul in his body. Lit.

5. John DiMaggio as The Elephant

The Elephent

John DiMaggio is stepping into the role of The Elephant, a minor antagonist who fights against meat eaters with the strength of an elephant. Seriously, that’s his gimmick.

John is a voice acting legend after lending his talents to Futurama, Adventure Time, Kim Possible, Madagascar Teen Titans, and the Transformers film series.

6. Jonathan Banks as Conquest

Conquest

Another Breaking Bad alumni, Jonathan Banks has worked on huge projects such as The Incredibles 2, Beverly Hills Cop, Gremlins, Dexter, Modern Family, and Gravity Falls to name but a few.

Though it’s yet to be explicitly confirmed, leaks and rumours suggest Jonathan will be taking on the long-awaited role of Conquest, a particularly nasty Viltrumite who will undoubtedly KO at least a few of your favs.

7. Doug Bradley as Dinosaurus OR Grand Regent Thragg

Thragg

Another unconfirmed casting choice is Dough Bradley, for while he’s been confirmed to be in the Invincible season three cast, we are yet to see which character he will be stepping into. According to IGN, the most likely choices are Dinosaurus – a hulking red dino who hates humanity – or the man set to become the central antagonist, Viltrumite Grand Regent Thragg.

Only time will tell but Doug would kill either role after working in every single Hellraiser film as Pinhead.
