Reporters issue apology after backlash following ‘rude’ Grammys interview with Babyface
The reporters started calling out to Chappell Roan during the interview
Two reporters on the Grammys 2025 red carpet have been called out for their “disrespectful” interview with musician Babyface after calling out for Chappell Roan halfway through talking to him.
Associated Press reporters Krysta Fauria and Leslie Ambriz were interviewing Babyface for the Grammys but then got entirely distracted when Chappell Roan walked past in the background.
Halfway through Babyface’s sentence, Krysta started calling out to Chappell to come over and passed her a microphone at which point Babyface awkwardly started walking away and told them to “go do that.”

However, Krysta has now issued an apology statement and explained there was a “lot of commotion” on the carpet which caused her to interrupt Babyface.
She explained: “I wanted to say that Iām really sorry about interrupting Babyface earlier. Chappell Roan had come up, and there was a lot of commotion as there is on these carpets.
“But Iām a big Babyface fan and as are we all, and so I just wanted to say that I really apologize.
Since the interview, both of the reporters have been slammed online with people calling them out for being “rude” and “disrespectful” to Babyface, including Khloe Kardashian.

“It’s maddening to see a LEGEND not get the respect and attention they deserve. He is a pioneer and deserves so much better than this. With decades of groundbreaking work as a songwriter, producer, and performer, he’s shaped the sound of multiple generations.
“I love you @babyface and I am a forever fan and thankful for all that you have blessed us with.
