A definitive XO Kitty character ranking because some of them are just insufferable

Juliana, I’m looking at you

XO Kitty is one of my favourite shows on Netflix at the moment, but it’s a wonder some of the characters actually made it in. We have our classic hot messes, like Kitty, and our smooth-talkers like Min Ho, but some of them just don’t fit the vibe. Here’s a definitive ranking of every XO Kitty character because a lot of them are actually just insufferable.

13. Praveena

Praveena is GORGEOUS and very cool, but that’s why she’s at the bottom of the XO Kitty character ranking. Her character doesn’t fit in with the quirky, messy vibe going on at KISS and she was just too chilled to be there. Where’s the drama? Where’s the embarrassing falling-into-a-cocktail-tower moment? Pass.

12. Juliana

Juliana was a total disappointment. Regan Aliyah pulled her off amazingly, but we’d just had so much hype for her character to come in and be Yuri’s soulmate and they were barely compatible. This is what Yuri was fighting for last semester? I wasn’t wowed by their chemistry at all.

11. Jin

via Netflix

I’m not sure where I stand with Jin. I did love the enemies-to-lovers vibe he had going on with Q, but as a standalone character I felt like there wasn’t a lot there.

10. Stella

via Netflix

You might think that Stella should be at the bottom of this list, but she’s actually pretty sneaky and it makes her super interesting. Her plot was a bit random but I was actually really feeling it. There’s nothing like a revenge story to bring the drama into the already chaotic KISS, so hats off to Stella for pulling it off so well. She would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for one meddling Kitty!

9. Mr Lee

Mr Lee needs some more credit for how cool he is. Sure, he’s cold and firm at the beginning, but he soon remembers the importance of family and get reunited with his son. Watching him live out his rockstar dreams was just an added bonus.

8. Alex

via Netflix

Alex is definitely one of the most underrated characters in the show. Not only does he care so much about the students but he’s got his own story going on to find his family. Seeing him bond with his dad, Mr Lee, is the most wholesome plotline in the show tbh. A true selfless king!

7. Peter

via Netflix

Although his cameo is short, Peter Kavinsky being in XO Kitty is just EVERYTHING. It was such a sweet nod to the show’s original film, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. A real OG fan moment right there.

6. Madison

Madison might be my favourite XO Kitty girlie in the universe. She is SO funny and she’s such a great friend. She strikes me as such a girl’s girl and she’s definitely the type who would plan a huge Galentine’s or a beach getaway for her friends. Immaculate vibes.

5. Dae

I was a serious Dae hater in season one, but he turned out to be one of my favourite characters in season two. He’s grounded, kind and selfless to everyone around him. He even takes his loss so well at the Moon talent show (he did deserve that trophy) and puts his feelings aside to congratulate Eunice. Dae’s really upped his cred with me.

4. Kitty

Kitty of course is what makes the show so quintessentially quirky and adorable. Yes, she definitely has annoying moments, but she’s a reminder that she’s just a teenage girl trying to figure her life out. Relatable? Definitely.

3. Yuri

via Netfix

Yuri may have had a messy season, but she’s an icon. Normally gorgeous, sassy and confident, we got to see a more emotional side to her this season. Her and Kitty’s relationship developed, but she also got to learn about their parents’ friendship from years ago. She may not have Juliana, but she deserves the world!

2. Q

via Netflix

Q is hands-down one of the best characters in XO Kitty, in both seasons one and two. He’s hilarious, an amazing friend and a total diva. He got his recognition this season with a great enemies-to-lovers storyline with Jin, and had his chance to shine in the athletics team. He’s one of the best best friends ever!

1. Min Ho

via Netflix

Without a doubt, Min Ho is the best character in XO Kitty. He’s gorgeous, he’s witty, and he’s totally up himself. No wonder Kitty can’t stop thinking about him. He’s really matured this season and even though he got conned by Stella, he became a better and kinder man than he was in season one. We stan a self-love king!
