A timeline of Ekin-Su’s random reality TV exes before Love Island All Stars

The queen of Love Island Ekin-Su really has a type, and that type is men with bad haircuts who were on reality TV shows. She’s rumoured to have dated people from *deep breath*  The Only Way Is Essex, Married At First Sight and Made In Chelsea. Here’s a timeline of all Ekin-Su’s deeply random reality TV exes before she returned to All Stars.

She had a ‘passionate’ fling with James Lock from TOWIE

Ekin-Su apparently went out with him for a while in 2021. A source told The Sun, “They met through friends and dated for a short time last year. It was a very passionate fling while it lasted but fizzled out. That was when James moved on to Megan.”

James Lock started dating another Islander, Megan Barton-Hanson, in October 2021.

Apparently Ekin-Su went on nights out with Pete Wicks while she was dating James Lock? On the Staying Relevant podcast, Pete Wicks said he’d been on “many a night out” with Ekin-Su, but denied ever kissing her or flirting with her “because a friend of mine was having that moment”.

She dated Joshua Patterson (aka JP) for a while before she headed into the Love Island villa.

A source told The Sun, “They went on a few dates and got on really well. Josh has nothing but good things to say about Ekin-Su, but he’s a little bit embarrassed that she’s suddenly everywhere.”

*Sighs*. Ah, those were the days. Their relationship on Love Island 2022 completely took over our lives. We saw a few glimpses of them all happy together on their reality travel show Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings and during Ekin-Su’s rather short-lived stint on Dancing on Ice. But alas, they split up for good in January 2024. I’m still in mourning.

She denied going out with another TOWIE star this summer

There were loads of rumours back in May 2024 that Ekin-Su was dating James Argent from The Only Way is Essex. A source told the Daily Mail, “James lives close to Ekin, they are practically neighbours – so when she needed a friend after Celebrity Big Brother, he was there for her. Their friendship developed into something stronger and they started to spend more time together, even passionately kissing.”

However, Ekin-Su and James Argent’s management teams denied they were in a romantic relationship.

Ekin-Su was rumoured to be dating a MAFS UK groom for months?!

It was reported in autumn 2024 that Ekin-Su had been dating the wholesome MAFS UK groom Georges Berthonneua for months.

The Daily Mail claimed Georges was Ekin-Su’s “dirty little secret” for months, but she downplayed their relationship so she could go on Love Island All Stars.

The couple apparently got together after Georges admitted he had a crush on her on a podcast. She apparently stayed at his family’s house in the south of France in August.

A source told MailOnline, “Ekin’s team were adamant that they didn’t want this to come out, but Georges has been a little loose lipped, and their hook up have been whispered about for months.

“Georges had grown tired of being Ekin’s dirty little secret, and he started to tell friends that he wanted more commitment going forward. He’s not stopped grinning ear to ear since they have been dating, he’s like the cat that got the cream, and has been gushing to mates about how loved up he is.

“Ekin’s team are scrambling to keep it under wraps for fear that it will impact her chances of Love Island: All Stars, of which she is top of the list, but it seems neither of them could keep away from each other.”

George’s team denied that he was in a relationship with Ekin-Su, and said they just happened to go to the same gym.
