Hilarious real reason Jeremy Strong wore *that* unique green bucket hat to Golden Globes

No, it wasn’t just a fashion statement

Right, I won’t lie I’m so torn about the fit Jeremy Strong wore to the Golden Globes because on the one hand, his bucket hat is so iconic and on the other hand why is this man wearing a bucket hat on the red carpet in the year 2025?

It was certainly a slightly rogue accessory choice to wear to the Golden Globes but as it turns out there was genuine reason why Jeremy Strong chose to go down the bucket hat route for the awards ceremony.

In true Princess Diaries fashion, the reasoning behind the hat was actually to hide his “wild looking hair” and I’m now questioning whether this man is secretly the Princess of Genovia. I mean the fact Anne Hathaway literally posted about the hat on her Instagram tells us everything we need to know.

According to Page Six, Jeremy Strong wore the bucket hat to the Golden Globes to conceal his “wild looking hair” for his role in the Bruce Springsteen biopic alongside Jeremy Allen White.

The source revealed: “Jeremy is wearing the hat right now because he’s playing Jon Landau in the Bruce Springsteen movie.”

They added: “Because his hair looks so insane [for the role]… because he’s filming that movie, the hat is because he’s covering the crazy hair style playing Bruce Springsteen’s manager. That’s what he’s covering up.”

Well, now I’m absolutely desperate to see what his hair really looks like behind that hat because if it’s not completely ridiculous and shocking I’m not having it. Let us see what luscious locks you’re hiding behind the hat Jeremy, the world needs to know!
