What festive fits did Warwick Students wear to POP?
Long live Wednesday POP!
The question everyone is asking – what are people wearing to POP! this week? Freshers and third years alike, everyone knows that week 10 is bound to sell out fast, and circling and event tickets are like gold dust. Will your outfit pass the test? Who knows?! Christmas circles are always a great time (coming from a certified Social Sec) but do students put effort into their outfits before the holidays or have they given up completely. Let’s find out…
1. Santa hats
It’s a classic, throw on any old red top and a Santa hat and you’re good to go! Is it a bit overdone? Maybe, but it’s overdone for s reason. It’s effective, it’s easy and it’s not going to break the bank. Who doesn’t associate Christmas with good old Saint Nick after all.
2. Christmas jumpers
I do love a Christmas jumper, the tackier and itchier the better! Warwick students picked this as the most seen festive attire in POP! this week and who can blame them? Seasonal knitwear is always a hit and it’s such a versatile piece of clothing. You can wear it to the club and your grandma will love it on Christmas day as well – what a win!
3. Christmas costumes
This definitely requires more effort and planning but it’s definitely worth it. You’re sure to pass outfit check in circle and get hoards of compliments in POP! whilst you’re at it.
4. Festive headbands
Most Read
Is it easy? Absolutely. Was I also seen wearing one? Yes. Festive headbands are cute and fun and are an easy way to make any outfit Christmassy, even if you do match everyone in the room.
5. Tinsel
Anyone can do this and this time of year you can find tinsel absolutely everywhere. Whether you simply love wearing a tinsel scarf or you need a last minute costume, it’s a safe option, if a little uninspired.
6. Fairy lights
The upgrade from the tinsel tie, the fairy light scarf. This is a really fun accessory and also fairly cheap. Christmas is definitely the time to put fairy lights in every room and adorn Christmas trees so why not wear them yourself? A winner of a week 10 outfit.
7. Christmas pyjamas
I love a Christmas pyjama, especially matching ones. In my opinion you can’t get cosier than a good pyjama and Christmas is all about cosiness, so you’ve nailed it. Bonus points for being able to wear pyjamas on a night out.
8. Society ties
Aah, the sports soc ties. Do they wear them every week? Yes. Have they worn them with a Christmas jumper instead? Also yes. Does that make it festive? You can decide.
