Vote for the celebrity lookalike contest winner who really looks the most like the celebrity

We will crown the lookalike of all lookalikes

Another day, another low-budget celebrity lookalike contest trending on TikTok. Since the chaos that was the Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest in New York, wild celebrity lookalike contests for Millenial heartthrobs are popping up all over the place.

Vote now for which celebrity lookalike contest winner you think looks the most like their celebrity. They’ll receive eternal glory and bragging rights (which is about as valuable as most of the prizes at these contests).

Harry Styles

A stylish 22-year-old musician called Oscar Journeaux took first place at this contest in London. He won £50, but told the BBC he wasn’t in it for the money. “I thought I could get a bit of fame and promo for my music and the industry is so hard to break into, you really have to get yourself out there.

“People want to think there’s a deeper meaning to these events, but really we’re all just bored millennials and Gen Z looking for something to do.”

Jeremy Allen White

Over 50 people showed up to the Jeremy Allen White (aka Carmy in The Bear) lookalike contest in Chicago on 16th November.

37-year-old Ben Shabad won $50 and a pack of Marlboro Red cigarettes (which is apparently funny to people who’ve made it through more than two episodes of The Bear?)

Dev Patel

Hundreds of people descended on Dolores Park in San Fransisco on 10th November for the Dev Patel lookalike contest. Some were competitors. Many were women looking for husbands who vaguely resembled Dev Patel. Jaipreet Hundal won $50 and a small monkey statue, which is a tribute to Dev Patel’s directorial debut Monkey Man.

Contestants took the competition very seriously – several did impressions of Dev Patel’s famous roles, and recreated the dance routine from Slumdog Millionaire.

Paul Mescal

I fear all Gen Z Irish men have developed some kind of complex where they all think they can pull on any night out if they declare someone once told them they look a bit like Paul Mescal. The Paul Mescal contest in Dublin proves this. If you think the winner looks nothing like the actor, you should see the runners-up.

Fyi, the contest had nothing to do with Lidl – the joke was that the winner was a “middle aisle” Mescal.

Jack Wall O’Reilly won over the crowds with his impression of the “You look really well” line from Normal People. He won either €20 or three pints. Ask to redeem the three pints in London, Jack. Then you’ll get a small fortune out of it.

Zayn Malik

29-year-old Shiv Patel won over the judges with his looks. He was, however, unable to recite a single One Direction song.

He won a mini trophy, which feels like a step up from all the other celebrity lookalike competitions? The contest was held in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn on 17th November.

Timothée Chalamet

Ah, the OG chaotic celebrity lookalike contest which started it all in October. A YouTuber organised it in New York and was fined $500. Thousands rocked up in the hope of winning $50. Four people were arrested. Timothée Chalamet actually appeared. He did not win. It truly was the gift that kept on giving.

21-year-old Matt Manix wowed the crowds with his Willy Wonka outfit. He intends to spend his winnings on sweets. Valid.

Vote here for the best celebrity lookalike

So, vote now to crown the winning celebrity lookalike contest winner of all lookalike celebrity contest winners, who looks the most like the celebrity they won for looking like (you with me still?)

On an unrelated note, if anybody would like to run an Andrew Garfield lookalike contest in The Tab’s office in London, I think we would all be totally okay with that x
