All of Jake Paul’s boxing victories have one thing in common and it’s not the best look

Your grandad could be Jake Paul’s next opponent

Twitter has noticed a pattern with Jake Paul’s boxing victories in that all of his wins are against considerably older opponents. His only loss came against Tommy Fury who is two years younger.

Jake Paul has undergone quite the transformation in recent years, from an arrogant influencer with shocking controversies to a boxer with equally as shocking moments. Maybe nothing has changed. He seems very much focused on his boxing career going forward, but he might soon find that his ideal opponents are catching an early bird special and heading to bed.

Jake Paul’s boxing record is impressive at first glance

Last week, Jake Paul and boxing legend Mike Tyson stepped into the ring in a match that was highly anticipated by fighting aficionados. Though Jake was accused of breaking a rule, he ultimately arose victorious and with a cushy $40 million paycheck.

Following the fight, sports writer Arash Markazi pointed out a pattern with Jake’s wins and losses on X, formally known as Twitter. It looks like, for better or worse, Jake Paul’s perfect opponent is someone considerably older.

Besides a few fights with other influencers and YouTubers like AnEsonGib, Jake’s debut came against former NBA player Nate Robinson, 40, who he beat via knockout in the 2nd round. In 2021, Jake beat retired MMA fighter Ben Askren, also 40, by technical knockout in the 1st round.

A lot of Jake’s fights start with out-of-the-ring verbal battles, as is the case with his win against retired MMA fighter Tyron Woodley, 42, in August 2021. Jake said he would happily schedule a rematch if Tyron Woodley had “I love Jake Paul” tattooed on his body. Jake also beat former UFC champion Anderson Silva, 49, in 2022, and semi-retired MMA fighter Nate Diaz, 39, in 2023.

Jake’s only loss was against Tommy Fury

To date, Jake Paul has suffered only one loss in the boxing ring, to noneother than former Love Island star Tommy Fury. After several cancellations, rescheduling, and numerous rounds of social media slander, they finally met face-to-face in Saudi Arabia last year. Tommy defeated his opponent via a split decision, with just one of the three judges ranking it in Jake’s favour.

The overlooked fact has generated quite the response online, where one user joked: “Jake looking at retirement homes next for his next opponent.”

“Jake Paul is the champion of beating on dudes over the age of 40 who just want some cash,” another said.

Though we don’t know who Jake Paul is looking to fight next, I think we all collectively hope it will be someone in his age bracket.
