Jake Paul accused of breaking a rule in Mike Tyson fight that could have changed winner
Apparently it made a ‘huge difference’
Former professional boxer Tony Bellew has accused Jake Paul of breaking a huge rule in his fight with Mike Tyson that could have changed the outcome. Tony claimed Jake was wearing “full on punchers gloves” in his fight against Mike Tyson, in which he emerged victorious.
The fight was very one-sided, with Mike only landing 18 punches next to Jake’s 78, but Tony Bellew has claimed there may have been a reason behind that. He implied on Twitter that Jake’s gloves would have given him a huge advantage.
The gloves Mike has on are looking heavily padded while Jake has on Grants which are full on punchers gloves! There is a huge difference in them gloves and I’m only watching from a bed!

Punchers gloves have softer leather and less padding around the knuckles, meaning you can literally feel the boxer’s knuckles come through.
Tony also said that the fight should have never happened in the first place, and urged that we “have to stop this fool.”
WE are all to blame for this man!! We are all talking and watching! We have to stop this fool! Don’t tune into him until he fights someone who is fit healthy and not a grandfather! Any proper boxing people helping Paul need to look at themselves ffs!! This is just sad 😔

After the fight took place, both Tyson and Paul were given suspensions. As the fight was sanctioned as a professional event, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the organisation overseeing the fight, demanded that both competitors have a rest period.

The rules mean each of the fighters will have to rest for three days for every round fought, which means they’ll have to stay out of the ring for a minimum of 24 days. However, they’ve both already shared their plans for future fights, with Jake wanting to fight professional boxer Canelo Alvarez and Mike looking to fight Jake’s brother, Logan. The drama continues!
