Another day, another TikTok video that has everyone in the comments fighting with each other. This time it’s about a TikTok video regarding a woman being called out by HR over her “inappropriate” work outfit.

And the comment section is fiercely divided over whether who’s in the right and wrong in this situation. So, let’s have a look at the outfit that’s got everyone so heated.

The TikTok video starts with the woman explaining that she’d received an email from Paula in HR, complaining that she’s “not happy” with the outfit the woman is wearing to work.

She explained to the camera: “So, I’ve had an email from a lady in HR about my dress attire for work. Apparently it’s ‘inappropriate.’ I don’t think it’s too bad.”

She then tells her male co-worker, Matt, about the email she’s received, saying: “I had an email from Paula this morning basically saying she’s not happy with what I’m wearing to work.”

She asked him what he thought of her outfit, with the man replying: “I think that’s appropriate work attire.”

She then secretly films what HR tells her about her work outfit in the meeting, with Paula explaining: “I must admit I’m slightly disappointed seeing how you dressed today following on from the email.”

The woman then responds that she asked one of her male colleagues about her attire, to which he said there was “no issue.”

However, Paula replied: “I haven’t spoken to Matt. I really don’t think he’s in a position to say what he did. We do need to address this issue because we are having comments from other members of staff.”

The woman responded to Paula, questioning: “That’s not on me, Paula. That’s kind of on them.”

Paula then claimed that various of the women’s co-workers had complained that she was “begging for attention” with her choice of outfits for work. Yikes.

As for what those in the comments thought, one wrote: “This is a clubbing dress.” Another added: “I was so ready to be on your side! But then you stepped back from the camera.”

However others defended her and said it wasn’t her “fault” if her outfits distracted her co-workers. One said: “I think the comments about you begging for attention were completely out of line, but at the same time, brother of these are office appropriate.”
