These two fan favourite challenges have been completely axed on MAFS Australia 2024
I can’t believe they won’t be happening this season!
Whilst MAFS Australia 2024 has so far followed the same formula as previous seasons with the usual yelling, screaming and shouting there are some major changes to the experiment this year. But what exactly are the challenges the producers have decided to scrap and what are their reasons?
As revealed in episode 363 of the So Dramatic! podcast the first big change to MAFS Australia 2024 is that the experiment is a shorter season, lasting just 10 weeks instead of the usual 11. As the season is one week shorter they have also decided to axe the iconic Girls’ and Boys’ nights.
An insider explained: “There was basically no need for it because all the couples stayed on the show quite long anyway, so a reunion that early would have been weird. The week it was meant to happen, Lauren was also back home in Perth and not filming, so it would have been lacklustre without her there, and none of the other brides would have really said much.”
And the always juicy Partner Swap task has sadly also been axed this season and changed with Feedback Week. A source from the production team explained: “Couples just had dinner and drinks with each other instead of living together for three days. The challenge copped a lot of backlash last year from the public because the situation would never happen in the real world. There were also a lot of contestants who refused to participate.”
Hopefully, Feedback Week will be just as juicy as the usual challenges!
