Josh reveals what happened between him and Melissa during the MAFS Australia reunion
Melissa left halfway through!
Married at First Sight Australia’s Josh White has given viewers and insight into what went down between him and Melissa during the reunion after a number  couples were not featured during the final reunion commitment ceremony.
In a TikTok video, Josh responded to a comment from a UK viewer who was disappointed they didn’t get to see him and Melissa speak with the experts one last time at the MAFS Australia reunion. He revealed that he and Melissa spoke on the couch for about 20 minutes and things between the two are now amicable.

“I just wanted to take the time now the reunion has aired over in the UK to address what happened because Mel and I were missing,” he began. “At the dinner party obviously we said hello, I know they showed that and then towards the end of the dinner party Mel and I had a conversation.
“It was a respectful conversation, I felt that Mel was trying to push it perhaps in different directions which I didn’t really agree with but it was a respectful conversation. It was about trying to find a bit of closure amongst what happened in our relationship. We wished each other the best and gave each other a hug and returned to the group.”
Melissa and Josh were matched together on the show but quickly left the experiment after failing to establish an emotional and physical connection. For a lot of viewers, the last time they saw Josh for a period of time on the show was him upset over Melissa’s sexual comments about their relationship.

He continued: “The next night at the finale we did film on the couch. We watched our video which was about four minutes long which was fairly indicative of the relationship. It showed good points and some not so good points which I feel what was shown when the show was on air.”
Josh explained he and Melissa spoke with the MAFS Australia experts for “about 20 minutes” during the reunion and claimed Melissa found some of the questions from the experts and the video “confronting”.
“Then there was another couple who went up and then we went on a break,” he explained. “In that break Mel voiced some concerns about what she had seen. Whether rightly or wrongly she was not appreciative of the footage she watched and she didn’t return. When you look at the reunion and you can see scenes where I’m sitting by myself it’s because Mel had left which was unfortunate but I do understand from her point of view. There was a moment of reflection there and it wasn’t too nice for her.”
Despite the ups and downs they faced in their relationship while taking part in the experiment, Josh said he and Melissa had a “respectful” reunion which he felt was “appropriate”.
