Police are investigating after two men were stabbed near Pryzm last night

Two men were taken to hospital last night after a violent altercation near Pryzm last night .

Police believe a knife was used in the incident on Lower Parliament Street, but both injuries are to be non-life threatening.

The surrounding area outside the popular student nightclub was cordoned off this morning, following the incident at around 3:25am.

The incident happened shortly before the popular Nottingham student-only night Tape Tuesdays closed its doors.

The cordon included the entrance to Pryzm and the surrounding path outside, where blood was reported to be seen inside the cordoned off area.

The popular nightclub has student nights on Mondays and Tuesdays

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: “Offices are appealing for information following an assault in the city centre

“Two men were taken to hospital with what appear to be knife injuries following the incident in Lower Parliament Street at around 3:25 am today (Wednesday 31 January). Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening or altering.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information, is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 59 of 31 January 2018.”
