Campus Style: Portland Building Take 2

Campus Style is back on the hunt for the best uni looks. This week we started the term in the Portland Building.

While most students were deep in revision mode on campus’s various libraries, Campus Style decided to head to Portland to catch up with the fashionable people taking a study break, and the lucky ones enjoying their freedom after exams.

Were you spotted?

Wesley’s black jumper and jeans combination is pretty apt for the deadly period that is exam season.

He adds in a spark of colour with his light wash denim jacket from Asos, and breaks the block of black from jeans to jumper with a slim brown leather belt.

Wesley Gilchrist, 1st Year Biotechnology, Asos jacket

Monocrome is a raving trend right not but it’s that touch of neon green on Rebecca’s bag that makes her outfit go from simple to chic.

Rebecca Etches, 1st Year Biochem & Molecular Medicine, River Island bag

Tartan’s been back in for a while now, and if that smile’s anything to go by – Jack knows it.

He layers his Uniqlo shirt with a plain white T-shirt and some black jeans to achieve this casual campus look.

Jack Konda, 1st Year French and Russian, Uniqlo shirt

Red makes another appearance! The winter trend has been mostly worn by students in the form of trousers, scarves or jumpers, but Katherine goes all out in her bright red coat.

It’s eye-catching color and chic form make it campus style-worthy.

Katherine Lowe, 1st Year Geography, Urban Outfitters coat

Rory’s vintage jacket was a personal favourite of ours.

He pairs it with an off-white print T-shirt, and a holdall large enough to house a healthy proportion of Hallward’s short loan section- just what every student needs during exam time; his outfit is both stylish and practical.

Rory Chisholm, 2nd Year Politics and American Studies, Vintage jacket

Another fabulous bag completes to complete a fabulous outfit this week!

Hannah’s leggings are also an eye-catcher, dark green beats black leggings in this ultra-chic look.

Hannah Bergstrand, 1st Year Architecture, Dune bag

You can never go wrong with a good piece of knitwear – it’s comfy, easily worn, and most importantly warm!

Joel pairs this light green waffle knit with some skinny black jeans and Vans to conclude his campus look.

Joel Large, 1st Year Finance, Accounting and Management, Jumper from Topman

What’s this? Red, again!

This time Rachel chooses a darker tone to highlight the rest of her outfit, for a laid-back but totally stylish look.
