IMS Football Preview: Super Leagues and FA Referees

Black is the new, er, black

That’s right: your IMS football is black and better than ever.

For the first time in Grove Farm’s illustrious history, the very best societies and halls* will slog it out in an elite Super League for the chance to represent Nottingham against its Malaysian and Chinese sister campuses in the Tri-Campus Games.

As well as the opportunity for international football, old and fierce rivalries such as Politics Soc vs Law Soc will now be judged by fully FA qualified referees.

Expect to see a lot more of these in the new Super League…

Other benefits of being in the Super League include:

  • Priority over the standard leagues on pitch choice during bad weather
  • Priority when re-scheduling rained off matches (it happens quite a lot)
  • A guarantee that regular no-shows will be relegated to the standard leagues

…and a lot less of this

The Tab Sports Team™ will be with you every step of the way, answering important questions such as: can History Soc repeat the past and win the title? Will Politics Soc be top of the polls for a second year running? And will it be another walk in the Park for Newark Rangers?

Find out how YOUR society did this coming Monday, as we round up all the results from the first week of fixtures.
