Watch a football player fighting a spectator from Friday’s varsity chaos

It’s intense

This is the moment Friday’s varsity football match descended into complete and utter chaos as players and spectators traded blows during the game.

The madness of the flares and general over-excitement turned into what has been branded as a “riot” and began when the first goal was scored by UoM player, Mike Macintosh.

But new video shows scenes after the second goal of the game when the pitch was bombarded with fans — leading to a brawl on the pitch.

The footage shows a player in blue shorts and top in hand, appearing to punch a spectator in the head before the crowd breaks up the fight and overruns the pitch.

Due to the “riot” on the pitch, the game was called off after just 80 minutes.
