Hundreds of students were left waiting for their exam results this week, as the university failed to meet the deadlines for certain subjects.

Law and Vet students across all year groups did not receive their results at the time they were supposed to, between 9am and 12pm on the 2nd March.

Law students eventually received their results at 5.40pm but still didn’t receive their own personal email with a breakdown of their results. They had to look through a spreadsheet of the whole department’s results to find their own personal marks.

Vet students did not receive their results until the following day at around 11.30am, leaving many students frustrated.

Law students received an email the following day apologising for the issue.

Mary*, a second year Vet student told The Tab “Because these exams were formative (mocks), they had inputted into the system that we would get results back in May which is ridiculous.

“I think we all found it very amateur and disrespectful towards the fact that we had worked hard – even though they were mocks, we don’t want to look like idiots – and just expected the courtesy for someone to check it over.

“I got over it quite quickly but lots of other people were very angry.”

At 4pm the day after results, an email was sent around to Law students to apologise.

Vet students have received no apology from the university.
