BNOC, noun.

Pronounced: be-knock. “An acronym standing for ‘big name on campus’. A BNOC is a self-proclaimed campus celebrity – often the chair of a society, sports team or involved in student politics.” (Guardian, 2012)

Are you or a friend an absolute mad bastard? Have you been necking barracks and hitting fuckits since you were thirteen?

Have your days at uni only made you more crazy and popular? Are you the sort of person that ran for QUB SU president as a pirate?

If you’re known by every bartender in the Bot or the Fly, have been to every house in the Holylands are sitting on a first in the Module absolute bant. Well then boy, I have the competition for you. The winner of this years BNOC will be given the official title of King Dick of Belfast (gender unimportant).

Last year’s BNOC winner, Mannix McAlister, is now often flanked by fans (even if it’s just because they think he is Boris Johnson).
