What’s the best night out in Aber?

We asked students to make the case for their favourite night.

“Whenever Bierkeller is on. I think it’s fun because it’s quite a big community with a lot of people there and they’re all there for the same reason. And it’s cheap beer, and it’s a lot of beer.”

“Rum Wednesdays conveniently fall on surf socials which results in our ‘chilled’ socials often becoming not so chilled but still a great laugh.”

“Tuesdays. They’re cheap. I do go out pretty much every day, but Tuesday is definitely the best.”

“Wednesdays sports socials in Rummers, because it’s Reggae night. I also like Tuesdays, because you can get VKs for 1 Pound in Yoko’s.”

“Harley’s on a Thursday, because it’s always full and very exciting, but you can still move around. I think it has a good tempo on a Thursday.”

“Sundays are definitely the best. You can mingle with all the locals, it’s really cool to get your ear bitten off all the time.” (He clearly didn’t take this seriously enough…)

“Vodka Tuesday, because Mountaineering go out and it’s a very very messy night out. And I normally can’t remember them, so it’s got to be good.”

“Wednesdays, because it’s sports socials, everyone’s out and everyone goes to Yoko’s and I love Yoko’s.”
