Aber booted out of top 50 for student experience

It really isn’t that bad you know

The Times Higher Education’s student experience ranking is out, and Aber dropped six places from last year.

We took 52nd with an overall 75.6 points in the latest survey.

But there’s hope, since Aber can impress with an amazing atmosphere, good security and cheap shops and bars, beating the ever perfect Cambridge and Oxford.

Worse than Bangor and Cardiff? Who’s at uni for high-quality lectures anyway, eh?

While we didn’t score as well as Bangor in the weighting of high-quality staff, our little seaside town can easily compete with the unis ranked at the top of the list when it comes to good social life and a great sense of community, hitting an overall 5.9 and six.

Not that this would surprise anyone that’s been to Aber before.

Facilities on campus leave much to be desired with a relatively low score of 5.4, compared to a cracking 6.2 scored by the University of Bath, which landed the top of the list.

Let’s face it, our accommodation rating of a crummy 5.4 is probably due to the fact they haven’t seen our newly built super-modern Penglais Farm rooms yet.
