Model Leticia Sardá confirms she’s Celebrity Number Six and had no clue she was viral
‘Two people have already stopped me on the street and asked to take me to social networks’
Model Leticia Sardá has confirmed that she is indeed the person people were looking for in a years-long mystery from Reddit where people tried to identify the mysterious Celebrity Number Six. After a Reddit user posted a fabric they acquired in 2008 which featured images of celebrities printed on it, nobody could identify who this person was. After five years of hunting, it was pieced together with some email correspondence to the photographer who captured it that the person was Spanish model Leticia Sardá. Despite some mods trying to claim on the Subreddit dedicated to identifying Celebrity Number Six that the reveal was Ai generated and not accurate, Leticia Sardá herself has given an interview and confirmed it’s her – whilst holding up a picture of the original with how she looks today.

In her Spanish interview with Vanity Fair, Leticia Sardá has revealed so much about her life and career that people had no clue about after she left the industry behind.
Explaining how she found out about the whole saga, Sardá said “Someone I didn’t know contacted me to help him locate the original photo, but I thought it was for something small and without much impact, and suddenly they told me that I was viral on TikTok… I haven’t even searched on Google yet, I’m a person who manages Facebook at the level of four friends and I look at Instagram from time to time, but I’m not much of a Reddit or LinkedIn, which is where they are contacting me as a result of this.

“The first one who did it wanted me to confirm that I was the one in the photo, something I could do, but I didn’t even remember where I had appeared or if it was from a campaign. He then told me that he had already talked to the photographer and asked me if he could find the original, but I didn’t know where it was either, so I had to go to the agency to pick up my book, which I had abandoned since before the pandemic, which shows the interest I have in my past in fashion. I located the photo and sent it to him, because he bothered a lot to locate me, he was very interested and he worked on it. I thought: ‘At least it’s good with friends’.”
She said she literally had no clue any of this was happening “until two days ago”. Sardá continued “I had no idea about all this. I’m still processing it, I’m saying I haven’t even had time to investigate. In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where I live, two people have already stopped me on the street to offer to take me to social networks.”
She also says the picture in question isn’t even her favourite from the shoot – which is funny considering how much of a saga it has had around it. Sardá also talks about how she left the modelling and fashion industry behind after committing to it from the age of 13 to 30 – and left it all behind in 2009.
She had worked for Burberry, L’Oreal and Levi’s.
