Love Island 2024 has kicked off, and one of the girls we’re already talking about is Samantha Kenny. She’s definitely going to be an Islander to keep an eye on this year.
She’s told us she wants a boy with confidence and charm, and is ready to cook up a storm in the villa. But outside of Mallorca and the show, what is her life like usually?

Samantha is 26-years-old and from Liverpool. When asked why she wants to be on Love Island 2024, Samantha said: “I’m ready to settle down and Love Island is an amazing opportunity to meet someone that isn’t from my area. I love a cockney boy so I’m hoping there is one in there for me.”
She works as a makeup artist
Ahead of the villa, Samantha was working as a makeup artist. Samantha works in a salon, and has said her unsociable hours are why she’s single and needs the show to help her find love.
“I don’t get out enough, I work weekends and tend to not go out in Liverpool anymore,” she said. “If I want a night out I go down to London as I love the boys down south. Tall, dark and cockney is my type.”
Samantha will bring fire and confidence to the Love Island 2024 villa
Ahead of entering the villa, Samantha said she will bring some fire to Love Island 2024. She added: “I’m very opinionated and wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m really bubbly too so I’ll definitely have a laugh as well as bringing some scouse glamour.
“I think the guys will be drawn to me as I’m outgoing and very easy to get along with. I’m confident, naturally funny and glam, I think they will like my chat.” She added that her friends and family would describe her as “fun, outgoing, confident and a bit unpredictable.”
She’s after someone who is loyal and driven
Sharing what she wants in a man from the Love Island villa, Samantha said: “I want someone career driven, funny and loyal. Loyalty is the most important thing to me.” She thinks Justin Bieber is hot, and can’t stop talking about wanting someone with some cockney charm, if that helps narrow down her type.
Samantha is ‘addicted’ to girls’ nights, almond lattes and her dog
In a TikTok, Samantha shared some insight into her life before the Love Island 2024 villa, and said all the things she thinks she’s addicted to. The list included vanilla candles, pilates, sunsets, almond lattes, french martinis, gold jewellery, bubble baths, red nails, flowers, surprises, her dog, being an auntie, her mum, new makeup, Adanola, girls’ nights, mangoes and summer. Same girl, same.
Ahead of the Love Island villa, Samantha had some Botox and lip filler
People have already – surprise surprise – been questioning if some of the girls had work done before the villa. Samantha has been very open about the cosmetic procedures she’s had, and said she had Botox ahead of the villa and has been getting her lips done for a while.
“The only thing I’ve had done, I’m an honest person, the only thing I’ve had done genuinely was Botox,” she said. “I get that anyway, I get it every couple of months. So I get it at Christmas and then I get it at the beginning of the summer.
“I’ve had my Botox done and other than that, I’ve had like a facial, switched up my skincare, but that’s it really. I get my lips done anyway, but these haven’t been touched since Christmas. So other than that, I haven’t really done much.”
Samantha currently has 25k Instagram followers
On her Instagram, Samantha shares loads of vibey pictures of her on nights out and of her work in the makeup industry. She currently has 25k followers, but given that she’s on the biggest dating show in the UK, she’ll probably gain tens of thousands more in the coming weeks.

Samantha is definitely ready for the post Love Island 2024 influencer lifestyle, as she’s already done some work with brands before. She’s done branded posts on TikTok with jewellery brand Say It With, and has posted on Insta with a fitness brand.
