Love Island 2024 starts on June 3rd and will last eight weeks

Love Island 2024 stars at 9pm at Monday 3rd June. For the first time, the launch show will be on simultaneously across ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX. The show will then be on every evening, with a highlights and best bits show on Saturday nights. The show will go on for eight weeks.

A source said: “ITV wants to throw their weight behind Love Island and make sure it has a big, glitzy moment when the 11th series kicks off. Showing it across every channel means creating what they hope will be a big TV moment. It shows there is still a real commitment to the format even nine years on.”

Maya Jama is back as host, with the new Islanders heading off to the villa in Mallorca. The villa is called Sa Vinyassa, and costs £5k a week to rent out – if you wanted to.

It’s looking as though we could get some new twists and turns this year (please, we need it!) as Mike Spencer, Creative Director of Lifted Entertainment, has said bosses are planning new parts of the show to keep viewers on their toes.

He said: “Love Island is back and viewers are in for a big treat this summer as we have a villa full of sexy singles heading out to Mallorca all looking for the one. We are planning to turn up the heat this series with brand new format elements, an incredible group of Islanders and an Insta worthy villa providing the most stunning backdrop for their summer of love. Strap yourselves in for Love Island series 11.”

Martin Oxley, Executive Producer at Motion, added: “The team at Motion is excited to see what the fresh format twists and new cast will bring to this year’s sumptuous villa, along with the rest of the UK. So, flame on and game on for another eight weeks of heartbreaks and hot summer loving!”
