It feels like only a few weeks ago we were wowing at Saffron Barker’s relationship with her 6ft 3 professional athlete boyfriend, Louis Rees-Zammit. But now it seems like they’ve called it quits (and are maybe not in the best terms ?) after Saffron started posting lots of videos about being single on TikTok.

On TikTok Saffron has been making loads of videos about the split from Louis. In one video Lip-syncing to Sam Old Love by Selena Gomez, Saffron wrote the caption: “These lyrics [‘take away your things and go, can’t take back what you said oh no’] hit different.”

In another post, Saffron sings along to Bye by Ariana Grande [‘bye, bye, boy bye, it’s over, it’s over, oh yeah’], writing “When boy bye never felt so good.” Yikes.

Her posts so far have had loads of support from her celeb friends, including Anastasia Kingsnorth writing “She said what she said” and Amber Rose writing: “Say it louder!!”.

Saffron and Louis started dating after they matched on the exclusive dating app Raya and he slid into her Insta DMs. Things were seemingly going really well but then Louis, who was a Welsh rugby union player, suddenly decided to move to the States to pursue a career in the NFL.

Although Saffron said she was “so proud” of Louis move at the start of this year, just two months later – and four months into their official relationship – the pair have called it quits. So, evidently something went pretty wrong during their attempt at long distance.

In the TikTok comments, seriously attentive followers claim they’ve noticed Louis “liking other girls photos on Instagram” and that he and Saffron had unfollowed each other on socials earlier this month. But it’s unclear exactly when he and Saffron split as they originally said they were still a “strong” couple.

In a statement about the split, Saffron said: “Whilst I won’t be going into any detail, I am no longer in a relationship. I am fully focused on my wellbeing, wonderful family and career. I want to thank all of the incredible people who have sent me messages of love and strength over the past few weeks…I know good things come to good people so I hold onto the hope that 2024 is going to be a positive year for me.”
