It’s been a weird old weekend watching the Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion drama unfold. Well, the Nicki Minaj drama, I guess – considering Megan Thee Stallion has had the wise sense to not acknowledge whatever the hell Nicki has been rambling on about for the past few days. It’s been a new low, to be honest – we’re watching someone with the inability to shut their gob behave truly unhinged. After a passing comment in Megan Thee Stallion’s new single Hiss that Nicki Minaj interpreted to be a dig at her, the latter has quickly recorded and released “Big Foot”. Nicki Minaj claims Big Foot isn’t a Megan Thee Stallion diss track but I don’t know who she’s kidding. Erm, the title

Big Foot as a title is a reference to Megan’s foot, which was shot by Tory Lanez who’s now serving time in prison for his assault. Starting as she means to go on.

A low blow from Nicki referring to the death of Megan’s mum Holly Thomas – who was also a rapper and was a huge influence on Megan’s career. Holly passed away of a brain tumour in 2019, and Nicki made disparaging comments over the weekend about it which were widely criticised – one being that Megan “better go conjure up her dead mother and apologise”, which she said on Instagram live.

Nicki Minaj here backs rumours that Megan’s had plastic surgery. Megan’s always claimed her body is natural.

Nicki Minaj interpreted the Megan’s Law lyric in Hiss as a reference to her marriage to Kenneth Petty, who is a convicted sex offender.

Nicki denounces the fact Megan ever got shot, even though Megan posted a picture to Instagram of the massive and graphic scar on her foot.

Again, referencing the shooting. On social media over the weekend Nicki Minaj kept calling Megan Thee Stallion a “bullet fragment foot bitch”, and it makes up the majority of Big Foot. It also feeds into the stupid conspiracy that Megan was not shot but injured by glass instead.
