Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have welcomed their first child, Bambi, four years after meeting on Love Island in 2019. The couple shared their exciting news in a wholesome Instagram post and fans have been brimming with happiness for the pair. Tommy and Molly-Mae placed second on Love Island four years ago and have continued to go from strength to strength in their romance. Now with their engagement news and growing family, they have been up to a lot in between. While we eagerly await for them to tie the knot, let’s take a look at Molly Mae and Tommy’s relationship timeline:

June 2019 – Molly and Tommy coupled up with each other on Love Island

Molly-Mae was a bombshell on Love Island 2019 and she caught the eye of OG Islander Tommy. The two coupled up with one another in the first recoupling of season five and along with some bumps in the road, they stayed together for the rest of season five. The two had one of the most iconic first dates on the show in the outdoor hot tub in the Hideaway.

When Tommy stayed loyal during Casa Amor and was waiting for Molly with Ellie Belly, life was good.

July 2019 – Molly and Tommy made their relationship official

While on the show together, Tommy teamed up with his fellow Islanders in order to help him ask Molly-Mae to be his girlfriend. The note from Ellie Belly lives rent free in my head. Molly-Mae said yes and the rest is history!

July 2019 – Molly and Tommy came in second place on Love Island

Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea were crowned Love Island champions during season five, but it is Tommy and Molly-Mae who take the crown of the best relationship to come out of their season. Shortly after the final, they returned to the UK together and met each other’s friends and family.

August 2019 – Fans feared Molly and Tommy had split up

The weeks following the Love Island 2019 were hellish for Tommy and Molly-Mae fans. People were convinced the two had split up after they both remained silent on social media. Thankfully the rumours were false and instead they were just really busy and getting used to their new life in the limelight.

September 2019 – Molly and Tommy moved into their own apartment together

Just over a month after they left the villa, they both bought their first apartment together in Manchester. At the time, Tommy told Digital Spy: “It’s going really good, you know. The biggest thing about moving in a relationship, you have to trust and to be honest with each other, and since day one, me and Molly have been real and really honest with each other.”

June 2020 – After many holidays and birthday celebrations, the two moved into a new apartment

In the summer of 2020, Molly-Mae and Tommy had a fresh start and moved homes. Molly shared a picture of her new apartment on Instagram and told fans she was excited to “get stuck into some really exciting things” she had in the works.

July 2021 – Molly and Tommy celebrated their two year anniversary

In July 2021, Molly-Mae and Tommy celebrated their two year anniversary since meeting in the Love Island villa. Molly shared the cutest picture of the two of them on her Instagram story and captioned it: “Two years of loving each other unconditionally. How did we get so lucky?”

October 2021 – Molly and Tommy were subject to a £800k burglary

Late last year Molly-Mae and Tommy were victims to an £800k robbery at their Manchester home. A gang was said to have “take everything” and the couple reportedly said they would never return to their home in Manchester as they didn’t feel safe there.

December 2021 – Tommy surprised Molly with a trip to New York City and sparked engagement rumours

On New Years Eve 2021, Tommy surprised Molly-Mae with a trip to New York City and fans were convinced he was going to propose to her. Nothing ever came of it, but never say never!

March 2022 – Molly and Tommy bought their first house

In Spring of this year, Molly-Mae and Tommy bought their “dream home” and they moved into their new Cheshire mansion. Molly set up a home Instagram account for the house renovation called Molly Maison. The house is on 5,000 square feet and the couple bought it for £4 million straight from the developer.

September 2022 – Molly and Tommy announced they were expecting their first child

The latest news from the Love Island power couple is the announcement of Molly-Mae’s pregnancy. In a sweet clip on Instagram, the pair shared the exciting news and said: “I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet”, quoting her finals vows she said to Tommy on Love Island. I’m not crying, you’re crying!

January 2023 – Molly-Mae and Tommy announce the birth of their child

In a sweet Instagram photo, Molly-Mae and Tommy announced the birth of their first child. Their daughter was born on the 23rd of January 2023, and they have not yet revealed the name.

In a post to her Instagram story, Molly said: “I can’t believe we get to keep you forever. Becoming your mum has been the best thing to ever happen to me… it doesn’t seem possible but my love for you grows with each passing moment. There is no feeling like holding you in my arms little one, my heart literally explodes. Thank you for entering this world safely for us and blessing us with the gift of being your parents. We promise to love and care for you unconditionally forever.”

July 2023 – Tommy and Molly get engaged!

Six months after welcoming their daughter into the world, Tommy and Molly-Mae got engaged. The pair announced the engagement on Instagram and captioned the post: “Forever. 23/07/23”.

To make matters even cuter, Tommy arranged for Irish singer RuthAnne to singer her song The Vow during his proposal. The song was first used on Love Island, as the soundtrack to the highlights of their time on the show.

RuthAnne posted on Instagram about the wholesome proposal. “A pinch me moment! Congratulations @tommyfury @mollymae on your engagement and I can’t believe I got to be there to sing your song The Vow live for this most amazing proposal (good planning Tommy),” she wrote on Instagram.
