If you’ve been on TikTok recently then it’s very likely you’ll have seen Horace dance. He’s a round, wide-eyed animated man in a red onesie – he dances along with the person filming the TikTok. You might even vaguely recognise him because after all, this isn’t the first time you’ve seen little Horace dance online. Here’s everything we know about Horace.

Horace was debuted back in 2020

Artist Jackson Q. Gray posted Horace on Instagram back in December 2020 which is why he looks so familiar to you. TikTok isn’t Horace’s first brush with internet stardom. Back in 2020 a filter of Horace dancing whilst butt naked went viral before being removed by Instagram for being “content of an adult or sexual nature”.

In May 2020, Jackson shared his distress at Horace being removed from Instagram. He said: “When I made Horace, I wanted him to bring some light into the lives of everyone at home who is facing boredom, solitude, and uncertainty amidst such heavy hearted times.⁣⁣ Unfortunately, and absurdly, in the censorship-oriented eyes of Instagram and Facebook, he was deemed pornographic.”

So Jackson gave him the red onesie and Horace was allowed back on Instagram. Now Horace is on TikTok and getting more love than ever for his fantastic dance.
