Liam Payne and Maya Henry have broken up and Liam reportedly has a new girlfriend, Aliana Mawla, who previously appeared in one of his music videos.

On Monday model Maya Henry broke the news of the couple’s breakup after a number of Liam Payne fans had tagged her in pictures they believed were of Liam and Maya, however, the pictures allegedly show Liam with his arms round another woman.

Maya and Liam first got together in August 2019 and were engaged a year later. However, in June 2021 it was reported the couple had broken up. Two months later they got back together.

Since Maya announced the split, there has been a LOT to unpack about what is going on, including who the new woman is Liam is reportedly seeing and when Maya and Liam actually broke up.

Maya announced their split

On Instagram on Monday Maya announced the couple had ended their engagement after fans had tagged Maya in pictures they believed were of Maya and Liam.

However, the pictures allegedly show Liam with his arms wrapped around a different woman.

Maya asked fans to stop tagging her in pictures as it was upsetting to see.

She said: “I love all of the fans so much but please stop sending me these pictures of my fiancé wrapped around another woman. This is not me and it’s hard enough knowing this has happened without seeing it. Enough now.”

The pictures which appear to be of Liam with another woman are said to be from Aliana Mawla’s account who allegedly shared the images on Sunday.

They were reposted by a Liam Payne fan account called Payno18.

Maya and Liam’s breakup allegedly happened a month ago

According to an exclusive report from the Daily Mail, Liam and Maya broke up over a month ago and a source said it was misleading for Maya to call Liam her fiancé.

They said: “Maya’s comments referring to Liam as her fiancé are untrue and very misleading.”

Maya’s friends claim they didn’t break up a month ago

A source said to be close to Maya told the Mirror the reports Maya and Liam broke up a month ago aren’t correct.

They said: “Press reports about them splitting up over a month ago are complete rubbish. To say you never know someone is understatement. They were engaged and he has shown her zero respect. She’s now thinking about her next steps and building a new life without Liam.”

Maya’s stuff is still at Liam’s house

The insider who spoke to the Mirror also claimed Maya still has her things and car at Liam’s house.

They said: “All of her stuff is at his house still and her car! This is such a blow for Maya, she’s making arrangements to get her belongings out of his house so she can move on and forget they were ever together.”

It’s not currently clear which property the source is referencing, however, Liam was last known to have been renting Rita Ora’s house in London after selling his mansion in Surrey.

Yesterday after the news of their breakup, Liam was photographed arriving at Heathrow airport arm in arm with model Aliana Mawla.

Aliana has just over 300,000 followers on Instagram and is believed to have met Liam whilst appearing in his music video “Familiar” four years ago.

She appears to be based in Miami, Florida and has currently turned off comments on a number of her Instagram posts.

Liam Payne fans started a Twitter campaign in support of him

Following the news of Maya and Liam’s breakup, a number of Liam Payne and One Direction fans have been sharing posts on Twitter in support of Liam.

The hashtag “FreeLiamPayne” began trending with fans writing comments such as “Liam, I hope everything gets better soon. Don’t worry, we support you and got your back. cause you deserve it. I love you my sweet boy,” and “You are the strongest person I know So please, stay strong everything is going to be alright we love you.”
