These are the onscreen Netflix couples who are dating in real life

Natalia and Charlie are actually so cute

| UPDATED

It’s a tale practically as old as time itself – actors falling in love on set. And the cast of Netflix’s biggest shows and films are no exceptions. The last few years have seen a number of onscreen Netflix couples get together in real life.

The most recent couple everyone has been obsessing over is Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi from the series Sex/Life. And it’s probably all to do with the size of Adam’s rumoured appendage 👀. Sarah you’re a lucky girl.

However it’s not just them. Riverdale has created two real life couples and the sets of Sex Education, Orange is the New Black and Stranger Things have all been the starting points for some truly great Hollywood romances.

These are all the real life Netflix relationships who started off as onscreen couples:

The latest real life Netflix couple is easily the sexiest of them all as the main characters of Sex/Life Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos are together.

The drama series came out earlier this year and stars Adam and Sarah as the characters Brad and Billie, two exes who are rekindling their romance whilst Billie is still married to her seemingly perfect husband.

The couple met on the set of the series in a makeup trailer and have been dating ever since. They seem incredibly loved up and regularly posts pictures together on their Instagrams.

Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton

One of the longest running Netflix real life relationships is Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton who are co-stars on Stranger Things.

In the show they play a couple who get together in season two after Natalia’s character Nancy breaks up with her boyfriend Steve. The two have apparently been dating for over five years, getting together during the filming of season two.

They’re not big into sharing their lives on Instagram but have given an insight into their relationship in a number of interviews. Natalia has said they like going on quiet dates where they can hear each talk and Charlie has said being in the same industry means they’re a lot closer.

Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli

Samira and Lauren are so far the only Netflix couple to have a child together and they’ve been together the longest having met in 2014.

The pair first met on the set of Orange is The New Black when Samira was playing the character of Poussey Washington and Lauren was still married and working as a writer for the show. After discovering she was gay Lauren and Samira started dating.

Two years later the couple got engaged and a year later they were married in Palm Springs. Earlier this year they surprised everyone by announcing the birth of their first child together, a baby girl called George.

And now we come to the Netflix real life couples who have sadly broken up. First up is Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes from the teen drama Outer Banks.

In the show Madelyn and Chase play the characters Sarah and John B, two people at different ends of the social hierarchy who begin dating. In real life Madelyn and Chase have been dating since April 2020.

Madelyn confirmed in an interview they are in love and it was honestly the sweetest thing ever. They occasionally share photos together on Instagram but Madelyn said at the beginning of their relationship they wanted to keep it on the down low because of the pandemic and Outer Banks coming out.

The couple sadly broke up after a year together.

Camila Mendes and Charles Melton

Camila Mendes and Charles Melton are on Riverdale together with their characters having an on again off again romance. And it appears life imitates art.

Camila and Charles confirmed their relationship in October 2018 and spent a year together, during that time they gave fans plenty of insight into their relationship on Instagram.

However a year later the two broke up and were thought to be over for good until last month when rumours began to circulate they were back together after reconnecting on the set of Riverdale. Neither Charles or Camila have confirmed this though.

Aimee Lou Wood and Connor Swindells

All Sex Education fans will know and love the relationship of Aimee Lou Wood and Connor Swindells. The two met on the set of the first season of Sex Education and have been dating ever since.

However Aimee recently announced the couple have broken up after spending time apart and realising they are not suited to each other.

In an interview with Grazia, Aimee said: “We’d had some time apart and then we realised that maybe the relationship wasn’t serving us both.” Aimee clarified the two still love and respect each other. My heart can’t take it.

Another couple who met on the set of Riverdale were Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart. In the show the two play Betty and Jughead who were in a relationship before breaking up in season five.

They began dating in 2017 after meeting on the set of Riverdale. They were together until March last year and in the August Cole confirmed they had ended their relationship with a post on Instagram saying they had an initial break up in January but fully ended things in March.

Joey King and Jacob Elordi

The Kissing Booth movie series is easily one of the trashiest and therefore the best series Netflix has ever put out and its two main characters used to date.

Joey King and Jacob Elordi who play Elle and Noah met on the set of the first film in 2017 and began dating shortly after. They made their relationship public on Instagram in April that same year.

However a year later in November 2018 it was rumoured the couple broke up and whilst they never officially confirmed their relationship was over, deleting all the pictures of each other from their Instagram says it all really.
