Ranked: The least popular Love Island 2021 contestants, based on Instagram followers

It can be really difficult to judge who the public’s favourite Islanders are. Our opinions of them change pretty much daily, and when we’re asked to vote for our favourites it’s usually our favourite overall couples – which can be voting for one Islander you hate, just to save the other who you love. So, there’s only one true measurement of an Islander’s popularity, and it’s one of the main reasons they even applied for the show: Instagram followers. The cast members we all care about we will flock to follow to get all the juice, whereas the Love Island 2021 cast members with the least Instagram followers so far are definitely the ones who can join the irrelevant hall of fame when the series is over.

The two most popular Islanders are not surprisingly original cast members Shannon and Brad, who have been kicked out the villa so are back to running their own accounts. Shannon has 413k and Brad has 407k. Other most popular Islanders are: Liberty with 343k, Lucinda with 293k, Kaz with 265k, Hugo with 250k and Faye with 213k. It looks like everyone has been heading to follow the most talked about Islanders of the series so far.

So apart from those, here are the Love Island 2021 contestants who have now got the least Instagram followers out of all the Islanders this year.

12. Chloe Burrows – 159k

After the Islanders with the top number of followers, it takes a huge dip. From Faye’s 213k, next is Chloe with 159k – kicking off the list of least followed contestants this year.

11. Sharon Gaffka – 158k

Original cast member, Sharon, has just been dumped from the Love Island 2021 villa. Now that she is posting for herself, and given that she was in the villa for as long as she was, she will probably do alright for followers. Right now she has 158k.

10. Toby Aromolaran – 144k

So far 22-year-old footballer, Toby, has 144k followers – just less than Chloe who he is coupled up with. It’s looking like he could be in the villa for a long time, so he will probably gain lots more.

9. Aaron Francis – 126k

24-year-old luxury events host, Aaron, has 126k followers currently. It’s not bad, but it’s still one of the lowest out of the original Islanders.

8. Millie Court – 112k

Queen Millie deserves more. She’s only recently become one of everyone’s favourite Islanders, so hopefully soon she will have the followers to show for it. The 24-year-old buyer’s administrator for ASOS has 112k followers currently.

7. Liam Reardon – 105k

With just less followers than her, up next is Millie’s other half, Liam. He’s got 105k followers and I bet every single one of those went on his account to see if he actually looks 21 in real life. Spoiler: He doesn’t.

6. Jake Cornish – 103k

Oh, are people not that into foot fetishes? It seems not because out of the original Love Island 2021 cast members, Jake has the least number of Instagram followers. He’s miles behind Liberty who he is coupled up with, so we know who carries that relationship.

5. Chuggs Wallis – 49.1k

Now this is where the follower counts really take a jump south, starting with Chuggs Wallis, who truly was gone too soon. But it doesn’t look like people are ~that~ heartbroken, because despite being kicked out the villa and now fully posting about his real, outside life, he only has 49.1k followers. He’s already done some tragic sponsored content with Tinder though, classic from him.

4. Rachel Finni – 46k

What a wildly irrelevant Love Island journey luxury travel specialist, Rachel, had. Now she only has 46k followers to show for it. Yikes.

3. Danny Bibby – 43.9k

Despite him getting lots of press because of the controversy with him saying racial slurs online before he entered the villa, not many people seemed to actually want to follow bombshell Danny. He’s one of the least popular Islanders so far, with 43.9k followers.

2. Teddy Soares – 39.7k

Teddy is the least popular boy out of the Love Island 2021 cast, with only 39.7k Instagram followers. This guy does have a habit of disappearing for entire episodes and not saying a single word since he joined the villa as a bombshell.

1.  AJ Bunker – 15k

So the least popular Love Island 2021 contestant so far is new bombshell AJ Bunker. I’m not really that surprised, I couldn’t tell you one thing she has said so far this series.
