Isle of Wight Festival has announced their line up
Despite some festivals not announcing their return this summer, many festivals and events have announced they are back on after previously cancelling their events. Lots of our favourite festivals are going ahead, including Isle of Wight, All Points East and Wireless. Festivals that were unsure if they could go ahead have told their fans to get buying their tickets and prepare for a summer of a lifetime.
The festivals and events that are back on this summer 2021:
Wireless Festival
Wireless is back in 2021 with a new location and new dates.
The London festival will be taking place at Crystal Palace Park, in South London from Friday 10th September to Sunday 12th September. The line up is not yet announced but Wireless said: “Your line-up will include some of the scene’s biggest names from the UK and across the pond.”
In regards to the move to Crystal Palace Park, they said: “Unfortunately we couldn’t make it work in Finsbury in September but we can in the beautiful Crystal Palace Park!” Tickets are on sale but selling out fast.
Isle of Wight Festival
The Isle of Wight Festival has been rescheduled to September 2021. The new dates are between the 16th and 19th of September. Headliners for Isle of Wight have been announced and include the likes of Liam Gallagher, Snow Patrol, and David Guetta.

All Points East
All Points East Festival is back on this August bank holiday weekend in London’s Victoria Park. Artists part of the lineup includes Kano, Little Simz and Slowthai.
Tickets are currently on sale from £65.

Drag Fest UK
Drag Fest UK is back this year in two locations. The drag music festival is taking place between August 14th and August 15th in London and Manchester.
The lineup includes the likes of Todrick Hall, United Kingdolls and Shea Couleé. Tickets are currently on sale from £54.

Strawberries & Cream
Cambridge’s Strawberries & Cream festival have announced they will be back this summer with the first phase of their lineup being announced too. The festival will return this festival season from the 18th to the 19th of September 2021.
Performers include Sean Paul, Bugzy Malone and Party Next Door.
Houghton Festival
Houghton is returning “with the force of three years in one” this August in Norfolk. The festival will be taking place from August 12th to August 15th 2021 in the Norfolk countryside.
Tickets go on sale March 11th, and the lineup is yet to be announced.
Neighbourhood Weekender
Neighbourhood Weekender is returning this September with a bang. Gerry Cinnamon is headlining the event along with Catfish and the Bottlemen.
The festival is taking place from September 3rd to 5th 2021. Tickets are still available for the event.

Boomtown
Boomtown Festival is back on but has already sold out. It will be taking place between 11th and 15th August 2021.

Boardmasters
Boardmasters is making a return this year after being MIA since 2018, as a result of two cancelled festivals. The Cornwall event is taking place between the 11th and 15th of August 2021.
Tickets have sold out to the event and a lineup is to be announced soon.

Penn Festival
Penn Fest is going ahead this year from Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th July 2021. Penn Festival said: “We are buzzin’ so much about the return of festivals this summer.” Headliners include Ella Eyre and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man.
Tickets for the festival are currently available.

Wilderness Festival
The Wilderness Festival that takes places in Oxfordshire’s parkland is going ahead this summer from the 5th to the 8th of August 2021. They tweeted a photo of festivalgoers from a previous year with the caption: “The sweetest moments are worth waiting for, we’ve missed you…”

Camp Bestival
Camp Bestival is making a return this year to Dorset’s Lulworth Castle from July 29th to August 1st, 2021. Their lineup this year includes Becky Hill, Fatboy Slim and the Vengaboys.
They call themselves “the Staycastion of the century” and are urging fans to buy tickets before they sell out.

Green Man Fest
Wales’s Green Man Festival have confirmed they are set to go ahead this summer following the Welsh government’s plan out of lockdown. It is scheduled to take placed from August 19th to the 22nd in the Brecon Beacons in Wales.
Tickets are not yet on sale and the lineup is yet to be announced.

Mighty Hoopla
The Mighty Hoopla festival is making its return to Brockwell Park on September 4th this year. Their lineup in the first wave of acts includes Cheryl, Atomic Kitten and En Vogue. Tickets for the festival are available on their website from £49.50.

Solfest
Solfest has confirmed they will be going ahead this summer and they intend to run the festival “with no social distancing measures in place.” The festival is set to take place on the August bank holiday weekend from the 27th to the 29th, in the Solway Coast in Cumbria.
Artists performing include Bees in Blankets, Lunar Collefia and a Basement Jaxx DJ set. Tickets are currently on sale.

Bassfest Summer Festival
Bassfest has announced their return this summer from the 17th to 18th July, at Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield. They said: “We are going to give you the biggest and best show we have ever put together. From the festival production to the bangin’ sound system we are going all out to deliver the best Bassfest ever!”.
Tickets are currently sold out, but once they release their lineup, they plan to release 500 tickets for those who missed out.

Reading & Leeds Festival
One of the most famous festivals in the UK has announced they will be going ahead this year. Following the government’s announcement, their event is set to take place on the August bank holiday weekend, from August 27th to 29th.
It has the likes of Stormzy, Liam Gallagher and Catfish and the Bottleman as headliners of the event.

London’s Pride
London’s Pride Parade is going ahead this summer, after being cancelled last year due to coronavirus restrictions. Pride in London is taking place on 11th September 2021.

London Pride said: “Pride in London 2021 promises to be one of the greatest additions to the history of the event.”
Manchester Pride
Manchester Pride is taking place on August Bank Holiday this summer from August 27th to the 30th.
Tickets are currently on sale for the event and The Gay Village Party will run across all four days around Canal Street. The official lineup has not yet been announced, previous years have seen Cheryl and Years & Years headline the event.

El Dorado
El Dorado Festival is making its return from the 1st July to 4th July 2021. On their website, El Dorado has said: “They foresee a land where the words lockdown, furlough and social distancing are unrecognisable.
“Where clasped hands run back into the heat of that night, and stretch high to the sky once again. The un-normal is coming back – on July 1st, 2021, El Dorado number Six will triumphantly return. Get ready for your next expedition.”
Tickets are available for the event, with a lineup to be announced soon.

Gala Festival
The South London festival in Peckham’s Rye Park is making its return with the revised dates of Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August.
With the lineup yet to be announced, they describe themselves as “celebrating club culture and the history of dance music.”

Field Day
Field Day London is back on the 1oth July 2021. This year they plan to celebrate the “full spectrum of electronic music with both live and DJ performances across one day and three stages of music, running louder and later with indoor stages, including the main stage, continuing until 3 am – a unique and unrivalled prospect for London festivals.”

Parklife
Parklife previously announced their return in December of last year, with the revised dates in September 2021.
The Manchester festival is set to take place between the 11th and 12th September. The lineup will be announced on March 23rd and, in previous years, the festival has seen the likes of George Ezra and Solange on its stage.

Latitude
Latitude Festival has confirmed planning is underway following Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown. Their original dates for the festival are set between July 22nd and 25th.
Headliners include Lewis Capaldi, Bastille and Snow Patrol.

Tramlines
Tramlines posted a cryptic picture of a previous year at their festival with the praying emoji. They call themselves “Sheffield’s Biggest Ever Party.” The festival is set to take place between July 23rd and July 25th at Hillsborough Park in Sheffield.
The lineup is yet to be announced but they have seen the likes of Mabel, Blossoms, and Jake Bugg.

Creamfields
Creamfields released their lineup so far and call themselves the “UK’s best electronic music festival.” Their dates are set for August bank holiday, between August 26th and August 29th.
Their lineup includes the likes of the Disciples and Alesso.
