This is everything you need to know about Joe Biden’s grandchildren

When Joe Biden was announced as the president elect, everyone was ecstatic, but probably none more so than his family. His granddaughter Naomi Biden shared a Polaroid photo of Joe Biden hugging his grandchildren after the announcement. But who exactly are the grandchildren of the next president?

Joe Biden has seven grandchildren, and five of them have been heavily involved in his race to become president. Naomi, Finnegan, Maisy, Natalie and Robert Biden have all been seen at various stages of the campaign trail. The two others are only a few years old, so we’ll forgive them for not getting involved in the campaign.

His four granddaughters, who all call Biden “Pop”, say they are the ones who wanted him to run for president and in interviews they’ve shared how close they are to their grandfather, who calls them everyday.

We have a lot to thank his four granddaughters for and this is everything we know about them:

Naomi Biden

Naomi is the eldest of Joe Biden’s grandchildren and is the daughter of Hunter Biden and his ex wife Kathleen. Naomi was born in 1993 and is named after her late aunt who died in a car crash in 1971.

She’s a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts & Sciences, where she was in the same class as Tiffany Trump. Naomi also has a law degree from Columbia Law School.

Naomi is currently dating Peter Neal who is a University of Pennsylvania law student and he regularly features on her Instagram. Speaking of her Instagram, it’s a whole vibe.  Naomi posts family photos, travel photos and lots of 90s images of Kate Moss and Clueless. So I love her already.

During lockdown Naomi and Peter set up a website which would help people work out the relief funds they could claim from the coronavirus stimulus bill.

Finnegan Biden

Finnegan is the second daughter of Hunter and Kathleen. She was born in 2000 and is named after her great grandmother.

She is currently studying at the University of Pennsylvania. Whilst her Instagram profile is private, during the run up to the election she appeared on Instagram to have a discussion with Maddie Ziegler about first time voting.

Despite only being 20 years old Finnegan has been heavily involved in activism, in high school she fought to change the dress code, because she viewed it as discriminatory against women.

Finnegan also successfully petitioned her uni this year to extend grading options. Her change.org petition received over 3,500 signatures.

Maisy Biden

Maisy is the third daughter of Hunter and Kathleen and was born in 2001. Maisy is mates with Sasha Obama and they went to the same private school in Washington DC together.

Maisy and Sasha had a joint graduation party together and even went on a girls trip to Miami and partied on the beach.

According to Joe Biden, Maisy is a great basketball player and even Obama has talked about her basketball skills.

Natalie Biden

Natalie Biden is the eldest child of the late Beau Biden, who passed away from brain cancer in 2015. Natalie is 16 years old and has a younger brother Robert Biden.

Though she has a private Instagram account she does occasionally appear on Naomi’s Instagram.
