MAFS UK drama hits like no other, and whilst sometimes it’s full of nasty energy there are those sacred times when it gives us some of the best one liners in reality TV. Over the years, there have been some absolute corkers and I feel like with the latest season you’ve probably forgot some of these utter gems. The ones that truly became vocal stims, the ones that had me spluttering at the screen. From the hilarious to the stupid to the utterly gross – here’s a rundown of the most shocking and iconic MAFS UK moments and one liners from years gone by.

9. ‘I apologise for being a mug’

It was always a gag when Thomas from the 2023 season of MAFS UK actually got mad – and when he said he apologises for being a mug he had the cast REELING.

We were all ready for Amy to gag Luke but my god, she really did at final vows. She wanted an iconic moment and she got one.

7. ‘Moan like a child’

Adam and Polly were one of the most hellish couples in MAFS UK history, and one of the most shocking moments came from when he repulsively said she used to lie in bed begging to have sex and then he said Polly “used to moan like a child”. She then swilled him with her drink. Carnage.

This one is hilarious. In a conversation between Luke and Kieran about Luke wanting to, ahem, finish inside Amy whilst using some car metaphors. Emma then overhears then end and thinks it’s actually about cars, and gives the classic line “have you got a Ford Transit?” Wow.

5. STOP!

Iconic moment here when the group in 2023 had been scrapping at a dinner party and the usually stoic Thomas randomly flipped out and shouted at everyone for, well, shouting. But he did so when they’d all gone quiet so looked suitably wild. Everyone was gagged.

I’m sorry but this is WOW. Adam fumes and angrily puffs on his vape and says “how dare she say I’m a narkacist”. He then says the mispronunciation again and then gets corrected that the word he’s looking for is of course narcissist. Golden.

3. Clare Balding

Thomas Hartley in 2022 was a master of the one liner, but he peaked in his first appearance when he met Adrian and uttered the immortal line: “He’s blond. I’ve never dated somebody who’s blond. I didn’t anticipate that I would be marrying Clare Balding”. Timeless.

2. ‘Terrorised’

The world recoiled when Amy revealed that Luke had written her a letter where he said “I wish I’d have gotten down on my knees when you were in the kitchen and terrorised your bum hole.” I felt tainted typing that out.

But the number one iconic and shocking moment from MAFS UK has to go, for me, to the entire saga where Nathan joked to Lacey’s bizarre mother that he didn’t like her fajitas and she acted like he’d personally slagged off her family and livelihood. Her sister demanding he say sorry kills me to this day. The fact he was a vegetation too. Wow.
