Hotel cleaner speaks out for first time exposing exactly what happened before Liam Payne’s death

‘If the hotel had acted differently, Liam could have been saved’

A hotel cleaner has spoken out for the first time from prison, exposing exactly what happened before the former One Direction star, Liam Payne‘s death and how he “could have been saved” but was failed by hotel staff.

Ezequiel David Pereyra, 22, is currently behind bars in Buenos Aires awaiting trial for allegedly supplying drugs to Liam. Now, exactly one year after his tragic fall from a third-floor balcony, Pereyra has broken his silence. According to The Sun, he insists hotel bosses made a “huge mistake” that cost the star his life.

Pereyra said that “the biggest mistake was not calling an ambulance when Payne passed out in the lobby”. He said, “If the hotel had acted differently, Liam could have been saved. They lifted him by his arms and legs and carried him to the room via the elevator. He should have been kept where he was and an ambulance called.”

He also said, “But because that day they had many foreign guests checking in, they decided to take him to the room in the condition he was in.”

‘The room was a mess and there were a lot of empty bottles’

According to Pereyra, staff at the luxury CasaSur Palermo Hotel ignored multiple warning signs in the days leading up to the tragedy. He claims management allowed Liam to drink heavily and use drugs openly because he was a “high-paying VIP guest.”

“They had him in an isolated bunker and let him do anything he wanted, including drugs in the room, and in public areas of the hotel,” Pereyra continued. “Bosses said he was making them too much money, triple the money. Nobody wanted to say no to Liam.”

The young cleaner, who started working at the hotel just nine months before the singer’s stay, says he was told to bring “him a lot of whiskey bottles” to Liam’s room and leave them on the table.

“The room was a mess and there were a lot of empty bottles and drug paraphernalia including foil,” he said. “Liam translated on his laptop and asked me if I could buy drugs, offering me cash to spend time with him. He gave me a $100 bill as a tip.”

An autopsy confirmed that Liam died from multiple injuries after falling from his balcony. Toxicology reports revealed a mix of alcohol, cocaine, and antidepressants in his system.

Pereyra, who says he’s been “locked up with dangerous criminals,” insists he just wants the truth to come out. “What happened was very sad. Liam’s death was truly tragic and could have been prevented,” he said

Liam Payne had flown to Argentina for a short holiday with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy before extending the trip alone.
