25 TikToks later: ‘Entitled’ influencers dragged for flying to Africa instead of France
The whole saga is very bratty, and not in the Charli XCX way
Travel influencer Brittney Dzialo has been slammed as “disrespectful” and “entitled” after she mistakenly boarded a flight to Tunis in Tunisia, Africa, instead of Nice, France. Easy mistake? Not really.
This vaguely insufferable saga started earlier this week when Brittney posted a TikTok with the caption: “When the airline employee misheard us when we said we needed a flight to Nice, France, and we landed in TUNIS, AFRICA!”
The video, which was viewed 1.7 million times, showed Brittney and her friend getting off the plane after touching down in Africa – which they apparently think is a country, and not a continent. The plane literally had the words “Tunis Air” in big bold red letters, and yet, they somehow ended up 495 miles from their intended destination.
They added some further context in the next video, and somehow, they only realised where they were going once the flight attendant pointed to Tunis on their ticket. The other flyers were just as confused as TikTok, but it only got worse from there.
Over the course of a whopping 25 TikToks, the influencer really let her American show as she stumbled her way through conversations with local airport employees. Staff in the Tunis airport were having none of it; after all, they still got on the plane regardless of whether the original attendant had misheard their intended destination.

After what seemed like days in the airport, she added in an update: “They are making us pay for a new flight, saying we can’t get on the next one tonight, everyone is rude, two men who are the supervisors yelled in my face, in tears, so as a last resort I had to bring out my bestie chat and found out about EU regulation and now they are taking us a bit more seriously so we can get to NICE asap.”
“After the last supervisors said it was impossible to leave, I had a feeling to go try one more time and there was a new supervisor in there instead of the man that yelled at me and I cried to her and she saw how stressed, tired, and defeated I was and got us on a flight (that we had to pay for) and had the captain hold the entire plane for us.”
The girls are now (hopefully) on a flight to Nice in France, with the most recent update being their in-flight food, but people have since slammed their behaviour.
“Stop saying Africa and say Tunisia. I’m sorry, but you are just dumb,” one person wrote.
Another said: “Girl, it is definitely 90 per cent your fault! How the f*ck didn’t you check the flight! Like how?”
“‘A country where they don’t speak English’ and the whole time you’re going to France. Bestie, I got some news for you,” someone else wrote.
Here’s the whole insufferable saga, as told through the 25 TikToks Brittney has posted about it.

All that chaos just to ditch a gorgeous North African country for a major tourist area in the French Riviera. Um, no thanks.
